Hi there, I too have been looking for information on Eliza Lloyd nee nocton. My wife's GG grandmother was Ethel Margaret Poppleton. I belive that Ethel's mother may have been Elizabeth Mary Poppleton. Any information would be appreciated.

I am searching for family of Earl James Nocton who married my great aunt Ann Catherine "Kitty" Beasley on 9 Mar 1941. Earl was b. 02 Jun 1898 and d. Jul 1961. His SSN 361-24-7485 was issued in Illinois. Kitty was born on 8 Mar 1896. She died on 17 May 1948 and I understand is buried in California. I don't think they had any children given their late marriage, but I'd certainly like to learn more about Kitty.

I have traced my GG Grandfather to be Patrick Nocton (born 1847 in Roscommon, Ireland) .He lived at Bright Street, Dewsbury in 1888 along with his wife, BRIDGET and their children Mary Ann, Thomas and newly born Joseph Patrick (my G Grandfather). Can any one help with Bridgets (wife) maiden name, or with the name of Patricks FATHER.

HI My GGG grandmother was Eliza Nocton married in 1869 to Lawrence LLoyd ( Qld Australia) we know of 2 children daughter Elizibeth Mary b 10-6-1869 and son Lawence b 1877
Elizibeth married William Poppleton and had a daughter Ellen May 14-3-1900
Ellen married John Bennett and had a daughter ( my mother )b 1925 Ashgrove Brisbane Australia
any information would be appreciated

To add to my other post there is aldo a Elizabeth (Lissey) Nocton in the 1881 Guysbrough, Nova Scotia Census she was 25 (Servant) living with George Toary and Family.

Hi, My name is Trevor Knocton from Halifax, Nova Scotia. It looks like Knocton is another variant of Naughton. In the 1881 census for Guysbrough County, Nova Scotia there is a Margret Nocton, age 22 (Servant) living with Philip Dort and family in Crow Harbour. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I have a great grandfather named Joseph Patrick Nocton (1889-1961) within my tree - he married Marguerette Alexandria Moffat (1888-1957) who had a son (my grandfather)Alexander Joseph Nocton (1919-1945) all lived in Dewsbury and Joseph and Margurette are buried there.

I am desperate to find Joseph's fathers name (I think it may be Patrick) or any more info - can you help.

Seeking information on family of Thomas Naughton who died in Bradford 1938 .was born in Co Mayo and married Anne ORourke in Colne in1881. My GF's mother's maiden name was Margaret Nocton and she married a White. Found that when they came from Sligo, Ireland the German immigration officers wrote Nocton instead of Naughton. In Philadelphia, PA there is a Catholic Cemetery that has stones with both spellings. It is said that the two brothers didn't maintain contact. One reportedly had served as a mayor of Mantayunk (SP?) and ran a coal business which the ladies of the family ran during WWII. Last I heard was told it was later operating as a Fuel Oil Business. Help! Beth

The Florence Nocton we have was born in 1856 in Iowa and John Nocton was born in 1851 in Michigan. Their parents were Michael Nocton and his wife Elizabeth. We think they were married in 1841 in Canada. Let us know if this fits anything you have. Dick and Mary

We know Thomas was baptised in NYC at the Immaculate Conception Church May 9, 1855. Thomas married Mary Jane Leyden(?) who emmigrated from Ireland as a very young child and they had 6 children.
