MY ANCESTOR ERASMUS NORTON WAS BORN IN SC IN 1822, MARRIED JANE HUGHS IN ALA, AND LIVED IN FLA IN 1850 WHERE HIS CHILDREN WERE BORN. IS THIS YOUR FAMILY?

My grandmother's name was Selma Mae Muncher; maiden name was Selma Mae Norton. Is there anyone familiar with this name?

I have not been able to tie my ancestor with his roots in SC. He was born there in 1822, but there were lots of Nortons there then. I have no information on any of his parents or siblings. Thanks for writing.....
