I am looking to see if anyone has a michael norton that was in nyc ny in the 1880's married to a jenie? maybe maiden name morton.They adopted joseph (possible) wright? This as far back as I can find the line. Does this fit anyones information?

Thanks alot. That looks like his info and his wife's. Never new about the niece and the son has been said to be adopted. That is what I am trying to find out the real deal about. The Wright was a possible but I have no clear evidence to the fact. I wonder if the child was really the nieces? What do you think I should look in to find where Michael came from? Thanks again.

So we know Michael died between 1910-1920. I would order his death record to see if Jennie listed his birth location other than Ireland - maybe she put a county location down as well. YOu would probably have to pay for a search to see how many Michael Norton's died between those years.

And is there a place to try to find a marriage cert for the Michael and Jenie, do the states collect a copy? Also I guess I have to try and find a Jenie in the vt census to try to find a maiden name?
