My great grandmother's (Emma Fitzgerald Norton Doble born abt 1859) father was Thomas Parker Norton. She is listed in a published family history of the Dakin family as born in Maine, but married in 1877 in Minnesota to Marshall Doble. Thomas Parker Norton was born abt 1840 and served in Civil War. His father may have been named Harry or Edward (unsure of either) I have a photograph of Thomas Parker Norton (at age 90+) in Newago, Michigan with (I believe) daughters Ionia, Daisy and Maggie - I think he had been married twice. Emma's mother I believe was named Margaret Gertrude Owens. Anything sound familiar?

Hello!

I see this is an old post, but you have logged into Ancestry just this month, so I'm hoping this will get to you.

I have quite a bit of information about TP Norton-I am descended through his daugher, Maggie, who was his first daughter with his second wife, Lurania Victora. LV was a Perry. I'd be happy to share whatever I have with you, and would love to have a copy of the photograph that you mention--it sounds like one that I've been trying to track down!

I've just received, in the past day, some great information from Minnesota. I also have a few photos of TP on my Google Picasa--you should be able to find it by googling his name-it's an open album.

Hoping to hear from you,
Laurie Atkins
