How far back do you want to go on the Nosler line? I believe Elsworth "Jack" Nosler is no longer living. I do have some information he gave me when we had a Nosler Reunion in Klamath Falls in 1979. You can reach me at IrvBlabon@aol.com.

There is a link on this page for ordering death certificates, the last I heard the price was very reasonable.

I was thinking that Kristina Roth's obituary might mention something about her family - who was still living and where they lived. The closest town to them with a newspaper at that time was Bowbells, The Tribune. I can order the microfilm of the 1941 issues for $1 as a ND resident through interlibrary loan, which I'll do this afternoon.

I did get Sven's naturalization papers, but not his wife's set. I am not sure when Sven died. I know it must be after 1933 because that is when my great grandfather died while visiting in ND. I have not been able to find any other information on Oscar or Emil. I have some old pictures of them someplace but that is it. Thank you again for everything. Irv

North Dakota

Have you tried getting Sven or Hannah's naturalization papers?

I didn't find either Emil or Oscar in the SSDI, maybe they're still living.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather's brother and his family. My great grandfather was visiting in North Dakota and die while at his brothers. He is buried there. I have his death certificate and found his grave, buried next to him is his brother's mother in law who died in 1941, John Olson died in 1933.
Sven or Swen Olson was married to HANNAH ROTH. THEY LIVED IN BURKE COUNTY IN 1930 WITH THEIR TWO SONS Emil A. born abt. 1916 and Oscar born abt.1922. Kristina Roth was living with them and was the mother in law. I was hoping to find anything else on the family but there are so many Olson's in ND. My family came from Sweden. They came to the US in 1888. Both Swen or Sven and his wife were naturalized citizens according to the 1930 census. That is about all I have.

My e-mail is the same as always if you don't have it let me know. I may have changed it since first posting on this site. I have not been back to Virginia since my trip in 2002. I gathered lots of information over the years I visited there. I am also currently looking up information in North Dakota for my Olson line.

I've been trying to contact Irving since I came across his folders of Nosler data in the Putnam Cty, Indiana library this summer. No response to either email or snail mail. I'm trying figure out where James Nosler, born Oct 16, 1801,husband of Jemima Moore, fits into the line. I'm looking for someone who might know more about Jemima's family.

Dr James Nosler and wife Jemima Moore IN-Iowa

In my gt gt grandfather's will (George Piercy), he mentions that James Nosler was his brother-in-law. George's wife Sally was a Moore from Kentucky and I'm investigating the possibility that Sally and Jemima were sisters.

I found a record of a land deed from Thomas and Ann Moore in Putnam Cty, Indiana to James and Jemima Nosler, deeded with love and affection, and suspect that they were Jemima's parents. There is a Thomas Moore in the Deer Creek Cemetery in Putnam Cty who was born in 1763 and died 1845.

I know that James and Jemima were married July 1, 1826 in Putnam Cty, Indiana and that Jemima died May 6, 1873 and is buried in Highland Cemetery in Iowa. James remarried to Sarah Nelson.

Does anyone have any information on Jemima's parents or siblings, etc.

Thank you.
