You have the village of Rosalie Constantine Obendorf spelled incorrectly. It should be

Langenstriegis, Mittwieda, Sachsen (Saxony), Germany.

The closest city of any size is Chemnitz and the closest large city is Dresden.

I have a Barbara Obendorf who was born in HSE DRSD about 1832. Both parents also born in HSE DRSD. She may have lived in Paris France for a time. She married Henry Hertz and they emigrated to NYC and raised a daughter Rachel and two sons, Arthur (Otto) and Alexander. Henry was from Lyon France. Any help finding her family would be appreciated.

SEACH FOR DESCENDANTS OF MARY OBENDORF

I am searching for descendants in Germany of (Mary ?) Obendorf. Wife of Johann Henrich Weidemann, died at child birth on the Atlantic, burried in ocean. Son's name Adam. Date 1761. Some sources say it may have been 1750.
Harold Jones

SEARCH FOR MARY OBENDORF, 1740 - 1761

Let me try again. I am searching for information about a Mary Obendorf. There is some uncertainty that her name was Mary. She was born around 1740 and supposedly died in 1761 on the ship to America while giving birth to a boy, Adam. She was buried at sea. She married Johann Henrich Weidemann. He was born about 1738 om the Wesir River Valley, Hesse, Germany. He died in 1806 in Abbeville District, South Carolina. He immigrated on the ship "Nancy" out of Hamburg, Germany and arrived at Charleston, South Carolina. I am assuming Mary Obendorf came from the same region of Germany.

However, conflicting data has surfaced that he may have arrived on the ship "Sandwich" and landed in Philadelphia in November 1750. This assumption conflicts with his 1740 birth date and the birth of his son, Adam, in 1761.
