I am searching for my mystery Great-grandmother, Eloise Osborn, b. abt. 1885, possibly AR; d. abt. 1935, Minneapolis, MN. Very little is known about her:

1. Married to Asa Daniel Gower, abt. 1904, Stone County, AR.

2. Two children: Laura Margaret and Nine E. Gower., both born in Newnata, Stone County, AR.

3. Other locations Asa and Eloise resided: Memphis, TN, Minneapolis, MN, and possibly Little Rock, AR.

4. Unknown relatives in the Chicago, IL area. One was a private investigator when my father visited after WWII.

5. Eloise divorced Asa c. 1920 and died c. 1935 in Minneapolis, MN, but I have not been able to find her court records or death certificate, suggesting that she may have used her given name in the records and that her middle name is Eloise. I live in Minneapolis and have found nothing over the last two years. There is no Eloise listed in any census records (1900 AR or 1910 TN).

Does any of this look familiar? I have been in touch with the Gower family, but they only have her listed as Eloise, which only perpetuates the mystery. I would be happy to exchange information with anyone who can assist me.

The 1790 Rowan County, North Carolina census lists a Nathaniel Osborn age over 16 with 2 males under 16 and 3 females. Does anyone have additional information on this family? Is this possibly the Nathaniel Osborn who collects a pension later in Tennessee for Revolutionary War service and dies in Roane County, Tennessee?

and moved closer KY. The older Zach Wells
who lived in Wilkes Co NC prior to the Rev.

Looking for infromation on Fanny Ellen Osbourne her parents, cousins....

Born June 11, 1891 in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey Channel Islands , UK. She passed away on June 27, 1974 in St. Catherines, Ontario. Canada

Fanny was an only child (illegitimate) and came to Canada with her mother when she was 15 (1906). She married at the age of 16 to Private William Peter Horrell who was 21 years old . hey had three children, William (Bill), Percy and Frances.

To help explain who I am the following my be helpful:

Peter Horrell married Sarah Ann Hoskins. They had four (4) children:
Thomas George Horrell died 8 July 1918
W Peter Horrell - died Jun 1915
A C Horrell - died 13 April 1918
Fred Horrell - died 1929

Thomas George Horrell Married Edie Butson they had two (2) children:
George F A Horrell (deceased) – My Father - my name is David G Horrell
W Archibald (Archie) Horrell – born 1915 – still very much alive!

Archie was saying he was told that his uncle Peter Horrell had immigrated to Canada and had married a Miss Osborne (we spell the name differently to you) . Archie was saying he had no further news or contacts in the past 60 odd years.
I searched the Family History web site and found your message

Archie was around two (2) years old when three of his uncles died so he doesn’t remember them. He clearly remembers visiting his Grandmother Sarah at 7 Allez Street, St Peter Port, Guernsey. He does not have any information about Fanny Osborne. Do you have a birth certificate with details of her parents and their address in Guernsey?
