Oviedo Help

I have come to a bit of a dead end on my search of Oviedo in my family. I know my Grandmother's father's name was Roque (Reque in one source) but I cannot find when he immigrated from Monterrey. Her mother Juana (Junna) seems to have immigrated on the same day as my grandmother and her siblings. My grandmother was Genevieve or Genevera or Genebeba. Other siblings: Maria de la Cuz (Cruz or Luz maybe), Jose, Refugio, Rosario, and Mercedes. Piecing together information from other research, I can tell that Rosario became Sister Sophie Oviedo and she and my grandmother remained close and both of them remained close with Mercedes. All three of them are gone now. We think Jose became a priest, and Refugio died young. But we have no information on Maria de la Cuz and we think based on an old story that we were told that she married someone the parents didn't approve of and the siblings lost contact.

Any information on Jose or Maria de la Cuz or help tracing Roque and Juana would be helpful.

Hi My name is Sonia Oviedo by marriage. My husband is Oviedo and from the San Antonio, TX area. He has several half brothers and sisters that are Oviedo. Mom is Mary Oviedo and father who died in the early 80's. His name was Martin Gallardo Oviedo i Believe.

I posted a message in 2001 searching for any information re my Almada & Oviedo family. The family were from Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. The Oviedo Family originated in Spain and the Almada, I'm finding, came from Portugal.

Nicolas Cortez Oviedo, 83, of San Diego died March 8. He was born in El Paso, Texas, and was an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his daughters, Diana Gariby of San Diego, Areli Atondo of San Diego, Patricia Kerr of San Diego and Cynthia Rodriguez of San Diego; sons, Luis Oviedo of San Diego, Adrian Oviedo of San Diego and Sergio Oviedo of San Diego; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services have been held.

Donations: Alzheimer ' s Association, 8514 Commerce Ave., San Diego, CA 92121.

Arrangements: Greenwood Mortuary.

I'm looking for the sons of Telesforo Hernandez Oviedo and
Aurora del Toro. They have a younger brother by the name of
Francisco Oviedo. It appears the family was split up after Aurora del Toro's death. The brothers lived in or near the towns of New Braunfels
or Cibolo Texas. If you have any information about these brothers please
share my father Francisco is passing away. I would just like to inform them.
