Bessie was my grandmother Tessies sister I believe. They married brothers. Tessie married Earnest Palmatier, who Bessie married I'm not sure. The brothers were Ralph, Wilbur, George, Ernest and Harry. they aslo had two sister Alta and Myrtle. Most died in their late 40 to late 50s, except Ernest he was 81 when he died. Im having a hard time finding out anything about the others also.

I also have an Electa Palmatier fasination. I have her listed in the 1865 NY State census in Hannibal, Oswego County NY, age 21 born in Columbia Co. She is with Abraham and Elizabeth (Palmatier Cummins. Elizabeth is my Great great grandmother. I have been searching for her parents for a long time. I also think I have other family members and spouses of Electa and Elizabeth. None proven tho.

Would you have any info on an Earl Palmatier who married the daughter or granddaughter of Della May Johnson Traver?

My info is scanty and a bit muddled but all I have:

!Della May adopted by Charles Gorham after Della May's mother Mary Jane Shute Johnson died.
Della Married Ira Traver and as of Jan 2001 has a son who lives in Nashville. Michigan. Daughter or granddaughter married an Earl Palmatier.

I have Charles H. Palmatier born about 1867 to Levi and Sarah J. (Bowman) Palmatier.
Charles H. Palmatier married Alta E. Dockery ...where unknow at this moment. They had 3 girls Ruth, Evelyn, and Esther. Charles was a Minister and traveled around by the census records. Would love to hear from someone who are related to Charles, his father Levi and family? Have a photo of Charles, his wife and children.

The Adam Palmitier I have was born in 1827 and his father Isaac married Charity, they came from New York and their oldest daughter Amanda married a Thomas J Hazard. I have this from the family bible but Isaac and Charity are as far back as it goes. But thank you for your post.

The name Adam Palmitier suggests there could be a relationship with Isaac Palmatier who married Elisabeth Cool at Churchtown, Columbia Co. NY 4 July 1816. Their first child, Adam was baptized in 1817.

Her name was Henrietta Palmatier Born 1901 in Yonkers NY Died sept 1922 in Mauch chunk(now Jim thorpe) PA, she married John G Brander from Mauch chunk. Do yo have any information on the Bartletts? Im trying to find my Bartlett line that was in Scoharie Co. In the 1820s and 30s, then disappeared. There was a Maria Bartlett which I think could tie in with your Palmatier/Bartlett line. My brick wall is Clarinda Bartlett born 1830, New York. She is supposedly great niece to Josiah of Declaration fame. I also find a Benjamin and Henry Bartlett in Schoharie. My Posson line has Palmatiers also.

Palmatier and Barlett in Albany Co. NY

The last of the Bartlett and Palmentier surname in the town of Bethlehem, Albany Co., NY appears to be Abraham C. Bartlett and John Palmentier or his son Jacob. Both of the properties are located just inside the New Scotland border.
In the 1851 Sidney/Arrot Map of Bethlehem and the 1854 Gould Map of Bethlehem, found in Bethlehem Revisited (Floyd I.. Brewer, Senior Editor; Lane Press of Albany; Feb 1993), shows "A.C. Bartlett" owning house and property located on the north side of what is now Delaware Ave. about halfway between Meads Lane and Van Dyke Rd. (approximately 975 Delaware Ave., Delmar), at the crossing with Phillipin Creek, just northeast of Unionville. In the 1866 Beers Map of Bethlehem this location is listed as being owned by W. H. Houghtaling.
In the 1851 Sidney/Arrot Map of Bethlehem and the 1854 Gould Map of Bethlehem, "J. Palmentier" is located on the east side of what is now Waldenmaier Rd., between the road and the creek that runs into Vlooman Creek. As John Palmentier died before 1850, this is likely his son Jacob Palmentier, who is listed in 1850 and 1855 census, living with his widowed mother, Elsie. In the 1866 Beers Map of Bethlehem, the name on this property is L. Losenn (Levi Lawson), who married, about 1848, John Palmentier's daughter, Jemima. Levi Lawson and wife Jemima are buried in Jerusalem Cemetery, Feura Bush.

My mother, Pheobe Edna Palmatier had a brother Edward Salis who had a son Clayton E. who was B 24-4-1907 in Sharon,NY. He died May 8, 1991and is buried in The medows, Cooperstown, NY. He was married to Ethel Degner on Oct 24, 1929. He was a chef, chauffer and farmer.

I am doing the Palmateer family tree. I have become obsessed with Electa for some reason. maybe it's because she's a hard person to find. Anyway, I think I may have found her.

Her parents were Abram and Henrietta Palmatier both born in NY, and later moved to Iowa. I believe

Her brothers were Emeline, Horace, Sylvanus, Ransom, Sarah C. Jess, Eva, and Mary. I have found all of them except her.

However, In a few census reports, Riceville, Howard, Iowa. I found an Electa M. Wildman. Born in 1843, in NY. Her husband was Marcus Wildman. There children were Zenes (Zenas) b. 1872 d. Dec.20,1951 and Rollin J. b. Nov. 11,1879 d. Apr.26,1912

I was just wondering if there was anyone out there, that might be able to verify this info.
