I just ran across your posting online here and wanted to respond. My great-grandfather immigrated from Messinia around 1912. His name was Peter George Pantazopoulos, and was subsequently changed to Pantages upon arriving. I have been told that he came through Ellis Island, but have yet to find anything that will substantiate that. He ended-up in the Northeastern part of Ohio (the Canton) area. Let me know if this helps, and I can give you more info.

All three variations of the name appear in my family tree. If any of those names appear in yours, please contact me.

My Pantazopoulos family came from C/harokopio, Messinia, Greece. The Pantazopoulos name was never used after my great-grandfather left Ellis Island.

Theo
