Hi,

I don't believe there is any relation. My ancestor, Gaspar Papy (1750-1817) was a Greek from Smyrna, Asia Minor (present-day Izmir, Turkey)who came to New Smyrna, Florida as part of the Turnbull colony there in 1769. After the colony disbanded in 1777, Gaspar settled in nearby St. Augustine, FL.
