Found it. It had gone to my spam e-mail. The pics of the two women looks familiar (one setting one standing)--not sure why. Wish I knew if other relatives in the area had computers--(not every one does). There are cousins in the area that are way older than me. A lot that are younger too.

I use to have one of Elizabeth Pardee--Henry L's wife. I haven't seen any of Henry. Wonder if we could see any family resemblance. I live in Ontario County in NY not far from the town where they lived if that helps you. There are a lot of relatives still in the area. Would love to see the pictures.
hi...i have pictures but they are not marked so i don't know for sure if they are of Henry Pardee and others of your family...they belonged to a Pardee, my grandmother.
Do you have any pictures?
Timothy Edward/Edwin A Pardee

I have the Pardee line starting from Anthony Pardee/Anstice Cox all the way down to Daniel Pardee who married Elizabeth Kinley now they had a son named Timothy Edward Pardee Feb 28 1822, there is doc saying he was born ( census) but dissapeared from the face of the earth somewhere after 1850.Now up popped Edwin A Pardee who married Jane Ann Walker and he had the birth date of Feb 28 1822 and every census and cemetery had Edwin but no Timothy. No where is there ever mention of Timothy again and no one that is alive can tell me where Edwin came from and who his parents are and what happened to Timothy. Now Im assuming they are one and the same and for some reason Timothy stopped being Timothy and went by Edwin A. Does anyone out there have ANY information regarding Timothy Edward or Edwin A Pardee that could help me?? Its driving me crazy because I can continue this line for 15 generations with names dates children etc, but I cant figure out where to go with this..I would love to talk to anyone who is on the same line as me..Thank you so much for this!!!

Pardee in Michigan circa 1839

I've just recently discovered that my great grandmother's surname might have been PARDEE, rather than Purdy or Purdee, as originally thought. I do notice her name, spouse and subsequent children on a couple of PARDEE trees. On these trees, her parents are listed as Phineas and Phebe PARDEE, yet the dates don't add up re the mother. Would anyone have access to a primary source, by chance? She was Charlotte Augusta Purdee/Purdy/Pardee b. 5 March, 1839. Not sure where, but we suspect Bay City, Michigan area. We have a marriage source stating she was married in Sebewaing, Michigan in 1859 to George William Gibson. They eventually resided in Ontario, Canada, and then out to British Columbia, where they founded a small seaside town. This we know for certain, but Charlotte's birth place, parents names and ancestors are still in question. Thanks for any help. Cheers, Heather

It just came to me that Elsie Pardee had a nephew whom I met once in about 1942 or so. His name was George Weakly, and the spelling is not guaranteed. I have no other information on him. The universities in Nebraska used to put out more graduates than the state economy could absorb, so leaving the state after graduation was very common. Leroy and Elsie Pardee kept in touch, more or less, with him so if you can locate Lois Friesen,(Elsie's daughter), or a child of hers, you might get some information.

It maybe unimportant to you, but Leroy Pardee had been maried before he married Elsie. His first wife died of some decease that required them to relocate to Tampa, FL . Leroy then moved to Lincln NE. He married Elsie in Lincoln where he was a baker until a few years after WW 11. He later owned a bakery in Hebron, NE, and returned to Lincoln with Elsie , who died a couple of years later. He swujrvived to live a few more years and did not remarry. Lois had at least two children, and I think one of them relocated to tht Chicago area.

I located the reply to your post, and your reply, and can add the following:
Vera died in Lincoln, NE, date unknown by me.
Beulah married Albert Weiler in Lincoln, NE and both died in Lincoln.
LeRoy, known as Roy, died in Lincoln, in the 1960s 0r 70s. Lois was not the daughter of Roy, but was out, or nearly out of high school when Roy and Elsie married. Lois married Fritz Freisen, spelling not gauranteed, around 1940. She nd Fritz may have been in Hebron. or Henderson NE at the time of their deaths.
John Pardee never maried and was estranged from the family when he died, probably in Omaha NE. Estrangement was not an isolated incidence in the Pardee family.
Emma fern, known as Fern, married Fredrich Wilhelm Schroeder, in Lincoln, NE and died shortly before her 103rd birth day, in Bremerton, WA.
Ada and Ronald Marshall were married in Lincoln, and died in Santa Monica, CA.
I have no information on Sarah Ferguson.

Due to the distant relationships of the family menbers, I doubt if any one source could add a complete story to this. All my cousins have died, and most didn't know many of their cousins. I don't know where any of my cousins children live. I and my family left Lincoln shortly after I graduated from Law school at the U of N, and most of the deaths noted above occurred after I left. Dwain Jones

Ada, my grandmother and Will Davison homesteaded unsuccessfully in Colorado then returned to Lincoln, Nebraska, and remained there until their deaths.
Audrey,

Sorry I can't help you has I don't have any other information on Leroy George Pardee other than he died in Nov-1981 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Since this is not my main line. I only got information on his parent's who were a collateral line.

I have him last on the 1920 census with his mother and step-father in Lincoln, Nebraska. My only thought would be to contact a volunteer in Lincoln, Nebraska and see what you can find from his newspaper obit. Have you tried the website www.raogk.com? They have volunteers around the world. Good luck in your research and sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Willard PARDEE of New Haven CT, moved to NY, marr. Ella?

There is a tintype photo, an original in good condition, on ebay for sale for under $10. It shows a young boy (just from top of shoulders up) that appears to be dressed in Civ.War uniform. The seller notes there is a "versa" or paper in with the tintype photo that has a name of Willard PARDEE, and notes she knows nothing about him or this photo. Seller is in R.I. I did a lookup of a Willard PARDEE, b.abt 1844 and found one Willard in CT, who joined the CT infantry during the War of the Rebellion (Civil War) and mustered out a few years later in CT. Married a lady named Ella (unknown LN)from Syracuse, NY and moved to NY for some years. That's where I stopped. I'd love for the family of this Willard PARDEE to have this tintype! The ebay auction only has abt 2-1/2 days left until it closes and there are NO BIDDERS on this.. here's the address:

You may have to copy+paste this addr. into your browser:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Miniature-Tintype-Photo-Young-Man-Civil-...

Thanks!

Hi Cathi, found you through Ancestry and your messages with Jan concerning the family of Joseph Ebenezer. I was recently sent the Last Will & Testament of Ebeezer Pardee and would be happy if we could exchange information. Though the will does not discuss the daughter I am after, it does list all the daughter's mentioned in your list and the names of their husbands. I have traced them all in the different census......Claudia Janousek

I have a family picture of them and a picture of their family home in Jennings, LA. My 2nd great grandmother's sister in-law was Nellie Fairchild who married L C Pardee their sons were Clarence and Richard. I have been searching for a connection and just today found it. Anyhow I am not sure if you already know this or not but I thought it would help. I can scan and e-mail you the pictures if you are interested the people in them are not labeled it just simply says Pardee Family and Pardee Fam. Home.

Pardee was my great grandfather...it also gives me some new clues for things I can further search for about George F.
Charles,
The edition I have starts on page 523 under the heading of "Pardees from Germany"and is quoted here.
"Fred Pardee, of 10 Pearl Place, Buffalo, NY, came to America in 1902 from Eggestorf, Hanover. His grandfather, a florist and army officer, came with two brothers from Nancy, France, and settled in Germany during the Napoleonic wars. Relatives in Germany owned a factory before the World War, which impoverished them. A brother, Henry is now (1924) living in Germany.
It is probable that Fred Pardee is a relative of the Henry Pardee whose family follows:
Henry (1) Pardee, born in Hanover, Germany, 8 Jan 1800, died at Rochester, NY, in dec 1881, maried first Unknown, married second, in 184-, Sophia Riiyinike, born in 1822, died about 1888.
He lived in New York City, later settling in Rochester, NY
Child* by first wife:
Sophia, b ----, d in feb 1858, m----Ebert; had issue five children *Monroe County records state age of Mary E at death as 25 years and her heirs s brothers Henry L, age 40, and George F, age 37, and Charles W, age 35. Sophia is not mentioned, but is given as a sister of George F. Pardee; if date of death is correct, she must have been a half sister. A monument in Farmington County, Rochester, NY, gives Henry L Pardee, 1845-1902; Elizabeth Pardee 1849-; and Frankie Pardee, 1879-1880.
Children by second wife:
Henry L, b ------ 1845, died 42 May 1907, residence (1891), Farmington, Monroe County, NY, ma 187_ Elizabeth---, born---1849.

A Marvin and George PARDEE (1795-1875)are known to have been the brother of Nathan HAWKINS. About 1825 or so they settled in Chautauqua Co. New York probably town of Harmony, near the home site of a George HAWKINS (1802-1883) This George is my g g grandfather who was married to Rhoda POWERS (1806-1900) My question is this: are there any Pardee's out there that know who the father of George HAWKINS was? and what the PARDEE / HAWKINS connection was?

Charles,
I am well aware of the "German Pardees" as Jacobus referred to them in the Big Book of 1927.
I would surmise that they are just one of the various Pardee families that left the colonies because they felt loyalty to the crown and did not want to take sides during the American Revolution. I believe such families went to Canada, Europe, the Caribbean Islands, etc., returning in later generations as "new" immigrants. Going back to Hanover and tracing their movements for the 100 years preceding their immigration to New York should prove very ineresting. Good luck on that and keep me posted if you find anything.

Jim
