My father was born in Celano, Italy. His mother's name was Lousia Stornelli and his father was Augustino Ranieri. I believe Luisa was born in 1900 and Augustino in 1902. They had 2 sons, Joseph and Anthony Ranieri. We still have family in Celano/Abruzzi area. My grandparents (Luisa and Augustino) were very prominent in Celano in the before WWI and WWII and even to this day. When I went to Italy in 1997, all I had to do was ask anyone in Abruzzi if they knew where to find my Ranieri relatives, and they were more than happy to direct me. Actually, when my father Anthony Ranieri died in 1999, they rang the church bells in Celano to honor him. My father's family home is actually across the plaza from the Celano Castle and is now a historical site.

I have never looked for the Paris family before, so do not know where else to start. I am ultimately looking for Carolina "Carrie" Cetera who married Mr. Paris. Their children were Stanislaus b sep 1883, Mary b may 1885, Julia b jan 1895 and Henry Andrew b mar 1897. By 1910 they moved to Omaha to live with her father Adam Cetera.
What was Carrie's husband's name? What happened to this family after 1910? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Searching for information on Ernest G. Paris, born 1892 Haverhill, MA, son of David Paris (b. c1854 Canada) and Odile Delia Savignac (b. c1869 NH or MA).

Between 1910-1920 Ernest married Beatrice (aka Betty) Ryan (nee Royer) - some family records I found list the name as Ryea. Marriage was possibly at Haverhill, MA? I don't have this marriage record.

I found them in the 1920 Census in living in Wilmington, Delaware, with a son, Ernest, 1 mo. old.

Does anyone have any additional information they could please share?

Thank you!

Hi Ann

The names you mention are very common for that period so it is difficult to clearly identify family members with certainty. The name Eric is unusual and not one I have come across before. I have a family tree on an excel spreadsheet, which you are welcome to have if you send me your full email address. I trust you can open excel attachments?

Regards

Noel
Re: Paris Family Cherbourg, Normandy, France

My husband's family (Paris) are from Quebec. The earliest date I have with any certainty is early 1800's, but . . have been given other info re:relatives from France.

My huband's line: Leon Paris (1837 - 1905 in Quebec) m. Marie Ursula Blair (or Blais); they had possibly 11 children - w/my huband's gr grandfather being Joseph Napoleon Paris (1864 Arthabaska, Quebec - 1931 Denver, Colo.) married Regina Pappineau (1866 - 1954).

I would be happy to share info via e-mail.

Sue Paris
paris@yosemite.net

Paris Family Cherbourg, Normandy, France

Hello

I believe that I have located the orginal ancestor who came from France and settled in Quebec

The original settler was Francois Paris and from I was able to find out (not yet confirm) he was born on February 16, 1644 in Cherbourg, Normandy, France.

Francois Paris parents were I believe Pierre Paris and Cardine Roussel.

I would now like to start to trace this line back in France as far as I can go. However I have no access to records, no name of the church in Cherbourg where Francois was born and baptized, do not know if he had any brothers or sisters?

This is all the information that I have been able to find on the family in Cherbourg. I do not even know where the family is buried or if the church is still standing?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You
