Allison
Hi I find a post from you about the Parsons and Wolverhampton from 2004 on one of the ancestry.com message boards and I am wondering if you could help me out.
I am looking for a birth record for Arthur George Parsons from I believe 1854. His parents were Mary Ann & James Parsons.
Arthur is my wife's great grandfather and I have had no luck finding him back in England. He came to the US in 1878 but everything prior to that is a mystery.
I just found his marriage record here in the states from 1884 and it finally gave me the parents names and said he was from Birmingham but in the indexes the only Arthur George birth I could find was in Wolverhampton in Oct/Nov/Dec 1854. He was suppose to have been born on October 11
I find this baptism record in the PDF file here at St Peter's
PARSONS Arthur George son of James William Cook & Mary Ann 26 Nov 1854 Bell Street Wood turner J.O.Dakeyne
http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes

So I was wondering if you ever go to the vital records hall if you could verify my Arthur George Parsons birth date

Jim
jebaad@verizon.net

Albert Parsons' Family

I am looking for any descendants/relatives of an Albert Parsons. I am not certain that I even have the name correct. I have little details: he was married to someone named Margaret (or close in name), they had no children (that I am aware of), they lived in London, Ontario, Canada at some point and maybe had a horse farm just outside of London (what was then outside of London), perhaps on Dundas Street, and that at some point he lived on Dundas perhaps within the city limits (around the 1950's). He attended dances and may have had a moustache.

If this person sounds familiar to anyone that would be lovely. He had a daughter that was born in 1944 that he did meet, but it is likely he was married when she was born, so all was kept private, he likely didn't see his daughter again beyond her birth and maybe until she was 2 years old. My goal is to just learn who he was, and where he is buried.

Thank you

PARSONS, Herbert Alexander/PUDNER, Ernest

Hi I am searching for details of my Grandfather. He was born Herbert Alexander Parsons in Windsor 1900 to George & Florence. By 1911 he had been adopted by Annie Pudner in Plymouth, which was strange as there were other children in the Parsons family and his parents went on to have more after his adoption. He married my Grandmother, who knew him as Ernest Pudner until the marriage in 1927 when he disclosed his real name and they had my Mum in 1930. By 1932 he had left and my Grandmother never spoke about him after. Any helpers?!

My line was J2A4h, a tall blue eyed group of Ancient Phoenicians. I was really shocked as I thought they came from old Parsonstown, Scotland but they do not match another person from that line. They were all tall and all were blue eyed except my mother who picked up brown eyes from the other side of her family. Out of 10 children and several aunts, uncles and cousins, she was the shortest, 5'5" and the only one without blue eyes. Another interesting fact is that my sister and I met a Parsons man who could have been the identical twin of my Parsons grandfather who died when he was 63 yrs old. It took me years but I finally learned that they were 6th cousins. All of these Parsons families were large and it is amazing to me that apparently none of them have tested. They could not be that much alike and not match. I have been unable to contact any of his male Parsons descendents. His name was Demory (Red) Parsons. They all came originally from Ashe Co NC or Grayson Co VA, these counties being side by side. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My line that comes down through the Parsons of the Parsonsburg, Maryland area is "R1a1a".

They tell me this also is Viking DNA going further back in time. You can Google the Viking DNA Project for more information.

Although my family oral history is of English descent, the DNA markers take it to Scotland many hundreds of years ago. My current thought is the Vikings conquered many parts of the Scottish lands then their offspring migrated down to England.

What DNA group is your line?

Her father was from Greenwood, LA we have family land in louisiana and a family plot for those who can't be buried where they died. The family burial grounds are available in Greenwood. I have been researching the Parson line for some years. My grandmothers baby brother live in garland,tx. His name is Frank, name after my great grand father' baby brother. Eston 1910 census dallas Estern who was my greatgrand father lived in Dallas in 1910 and move back and forth to Greenwood area because he was a labor and he also worked for the railroads and then they finally settled in Greenville, TX 1920's. The family lure is that he looked like a chinese man because of his straight black hair and stout built. His mother on the 1880 census, with her cousin they were listed as MU, Angelina(Simpson)Bullard Parson Husband Tom Parson(s)married 1877 Caddo Parish, La, her cousin Louis Enos MU was listed on the Indian Dawes roles. They both were adopted by the Bullard Bullock family. The trail of tears. Semiole Indians from Florida. The five civilized nations of Indian tribes. Dixon means warrior my whole name means Beautiful Red, Scarlet Rising Star Warrior, First name is Hebrew middle name African Uganda last name English.

Maybe my great uncle would like to help out. He wanted me to find our Florida connection. Our family tree.

Shani` Dixon
Dallas

I have resumed my feeble search - hoping to find 'something' about my father's side of a family I don't know. So far, I have a grandfather born in Jackson, MS/died in Braintree, MA
1893/1956. Only have pieces of his family - my father was 2nd of 9 children (I think)... Are you still up for recvng these notes??? I am at ronrparsons@hotmail.com. Wud like to hear from you. rp

1793 marriage record of Joseph Parsons to Sarah Lacey

I wasn't looking for Joseph Parsons and Sarah Lacey, but I happened to notice them on the same page and date as the record for my ancestors, Thomas Probert and Elizabeth Lacey.
A cousin of mine who uses findmypast.co.uk found the parish record for the marriage by banns occurring at Saint James Picadilly, Westminster, London on July 8, 1793. Elizabeth was from LACEY GREEN. I have the couple's family bible. The two are buried at Hughenden. It could be a coincidence that two women with the surname Lacy were each married by banns in the same home parish. It is also possible that they are related to each other. My Probert tree, with Elizabeth LACEY, and with much of what I know, is at http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=bigbible&...;...
I just saw your posting and tried your Email, but it has evidently been changed.

I'm a fifth cousin to Mitch who contacted you. I have no details for Thomas and Catherine, but I do have details on their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Parsons. She was born on 10 Dec 1864, in Littleport, Clayton County, Iowa, and died on 4 Feb. 1941, in Browns Valley, Traverse County, Minnesota. on 21 Feb 1888, she married Charles Symons Aunger in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Charles was born 9 Aug 1865, in Canada West, (now Ontario) Canada, and died 17 Nov 1946, in Cherokee, Cherokee County, Iowa. Charles and Mary Elizabeth had two children, Florence and Charles.

Florence Harriet Aunger was born in Jan 1891 in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, Iowa. She is listed in the Iowa database for the years 1890-1899. I have no other information on her.

Charles Wesley Aunger, born 18 Oct 1889, in Cedar Falls, IA, died 2 Mar 1971, in Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Hot Springs (Block 9, Section M, Lot 22). On 22 May 1917, in Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, he married Ruth Jane Hennings. Ruth was born 28 Jan 1893 in Burt, Kossuth County, IA, and died 11 Mar. 1967, in Hot Springs, SD. She is buried in the same plot with Charles. Charles and Ruth had two children: Enid and Robert.

Enid Francile Aunger was born 12 Aug 1920, in Westeby, Montana. On 7 Oct 1944, at Camp Croft, South Carolina, she married James Monroe Hollingsworth. I have no further data on this couple.

Robert Vincent Aunger, Sr. born 8 Apr. 1925 in Mott, Hottinger County, North Dakota, died in 1995 in Pickens County, Georgia. On 10 Jul 1954, at St. Cloud, Osceola County, Florida, he was married to someone who may still be living.

The balance of this line are living people, so I won't include any more information. I hope this is helpful.

Dorcas Aunger

Hi parsons-norn;

Henry Parsons and Charlotte Wells were your grandparents? I know they had a lot of kids (Robert/Edward/Tobias*/Louisa/Philip/Elizabeth/Andrew/Peter).

Which one was your parent? I guess that means you are a cousin to my grandfather, Harold Andrew Russell Parsons.

Assuming we are all talking about the same family, then your grandfather (as you mentioned) is Henry (1851-1931). He was married to Charlotte Wells.

Your great grandfather should then be Robert Parsons (1821-1894). He was married to Anne Gould.

Then your GREAT-great-grandfather would be William Parsons (1768-1840).

Does that make sense, or did I screw something up?

Do you have any other information on William? Do you know the names of his (apparently many) brothers, or his parents? I can't go back any farther with the little information i have now. I'm stuck. I've even paid people to look - no luck.

Thanks!
Les

I’m not related to any member of this family.

1930 is the last available census at this time.

1940 census will be released on April 2, 2012. It will take several months to transcribe all the states.

Hi Roger! I am descended from Mary Hewett (Parsons), daughter of Richard Parsons and Harrier Hewett. I checked baptisms of this family and did not find one for a Maria in 1816 or any other year but Mary's was dated 16 June, 1816 at Altarnun. Also listed was her siblings, Richard, William and John.
