My great-grandfather was also Arthur J. Pasco whose wife was Alice. They had a daughter Lavinia who was my Grandmother on my mother's side. I would love to communicate with you about how we tie into the same ancestry. The info. I have said Arthur J. Pasco was born in New Jersey about 1848 or 1849. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetary in Oklahoma City, OK and his date of death was Oct 24, 1923. My mother (Lavinia's daughter) was Alice Amelia Ellis. I was named (middle name) Lavinia after my grandmother. Please write back to me so we can figure this out. Most of my relatives are now deceased so I am happy to find you. Thanks ever so much.
Gladys Irene Higgins Pasco Ramsey, born Jun 1904, lived Denver & Billings

I have two original photographs of “Gladys Irene Higgins”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. One is a postcard photo, dated 1914, and the other is a 2x3” snapshot, stating her age as 12 and “born 6/29/04”.

I found the family of Gladys in the 1910 & 1920 censuses of Denver, showing her age 4 in 1910 and 15 in 1920. She was daughter of Ralph R. Higgins and Mary Blanche (Buckingham) Higgins. Obituaries in the Billings Gazette for her parents showed her as survivor, Gladys (H. for Higgins) Pasco of Billings – whose daughters were Barbara Joanne Higgins and Margaret Ann Higgins of Portland, and Ruth Mary Pasco of Billings.

In 1930, Gladys lived in Casper (Natrona Co.) WY with husband William D. Pasco (married in Sep 1923), and she was Gladys Pasco, age 25. Billings paper showed that Mr./Mrs. Wm. D. Pasco of Casper “had a baby girl born 28 Feb 1932”: Ruth Mary Pasco. Mr. Pasco died in Billings in Nov 1948. I found evidence that Ruth Mary Pasco married James L. Spiker Jul 1954 and lived near Chicago – and that at that time Ruth Mary was “daughter of Mr./Mrs. H. Darrell Ramsey”.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Gladys I. Higgins Pasco Ramsey.

i'm trying to determine parentage of one Henry Seymour Pasco who was born in abt 1815, either CT or OH. He goes to Illinois in the late 1830s, then to Iowa in the 1840s and returns to Illinois where he dies in 1871. (There is also a Harvey Pasco in Illinois in the same neighborhood -- i am beginning to think they are one and the same person.)

at the same time he is in Iowa, another Pasco settles there, from Indiana, one Asa Pasco. Rumor has it he is descended from Stoddart -> Jonah -> James.

doyou have anything on these two?

Hi Colleen,

It's been many years for me as well. I lost my hard-drive two computers ago (and did not have a back-up of my files), and haven't had the hours needed to go back and re-enter everything.

I suppose it's possible that Henry could have been a mis-spelled Harvey... there have been stranger things. I do remember that the original Harvey I know of in Moultrie County, IL(about 1844?) seemed to disappear, but the others are traceable. My great-grandfather, from what I understand, was an eccentric lawyer... and getting copies of his marriage license(s?) make me wonder if that wasn't correct.

did Stoddard have other children? I'm trying to establish ancestry of Henry Seymour Pasco who lived in Davis County, Iowa at the same time as Asa Pasco (who lived in Benton County).

they each have a daughter called Marinda.

Henry had roamed around southern Illinois and after a 10 year stint in Iowa, returned there (Moultrie County) with his family. He died in 1871. He is born 1815-1821 in Ohio or Connecticut.
thanks in advance!
