HI Susan,

My great grand parents were Guisseppe Pasquale dob 5/12/1868 and Giovanna Zarrella born 4/19/1868 both from Lapio. I suspect this was a very small town at the time, so we likly have some family ties going back to that time.
My grandfather was their son Angelo Pasquale dob 12/25/1894 and he and his brother came to the Boston area settled in Lynn MA. Became US citizen at Salem Distr Court Jan 13 1920.

I would love to learn about any common family you may come up with.

Pasquale and Fatica from Campobasso to Cleveland

Hello,

Please bear with me I'm new at this. I'm looking for any information on my great, great grandparents. Antonio Pasquale (sometimes known as Thomas Pasquale) went from Campobasso to Cleveland (Mayfield Heights) in 1902, 1908 and then finally as his home in 1910. As I understand it, he had four siblings Vincent, Guiseppe, Alexander and Rocco Pasquale.

His wife Paolina Fatica (aka Pauline Pasquale) actually came from Matrice, Campobasso, Italy in 1910 to join him in Cleveland. They lived initially with cousins Michele, and Maria Pasquale.

I know very little of their lives before Cleveland (and not much about Cleveland either!) But I would love to gather any information I can about their lives and family before.

Antonio's mother's name was Incornata (probably) and Paolina's family was Luigi and Caroline Fatica. She had a brother named Angelo. I know this is quite the long shot but I thought I'd give it a try! Also, I attached a lovely photo of them together in their older years.

Thank you! :)

-Alison
I am looking for information about Mrs. Guiseppe Pasquale, survivor of the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, January 28, 1922, Washington, DC. According to newspaper accounts and the Memorial Booklet, she sustained a fractured leg and was treated at the Naval Hospital. She was residing at 1710 Euclid Street, NW, Washington, DC, at the time.

I am writing a book about the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster and would like to include photos, survivor stories and family accounts of the disaster.
Hi Bill,
just wanted to drop you a line and tell you that I saw your message. I thought it was ironic because I'm trying to track down some ancestors from LaPio also. The irony lies in the fact that my name is Pasquale Angelo Rocco, and my LaPio relatives last names are Carbone and Membrino. It just struck me funny that your grandfather was named Angelo Pasquale (that means Easter Angel). Who knows, we're probably related! I'm planning a trip for Septemeber of 2005 to LaPio. I finally made contact with my people and I guess there are a lot of them. I can't wait. Good luck in your search.

I would just like to know the circumstances of putting me up for adoption. No need for in person meetings - just be willing to send me a health history of the family - because I have some health problems that I would like to know if it "runs in the family" or is just the luck of the draw. Thank you, ciao.

Carmella Pasquale in New York 1890s.

I am looking for anyone who has information on my husband's great grandmother's family. Her name was Carmella Pasquale. She married Michael Amato Grosso. He was born in Nusco, Avellino, Italy probably around 1860-1865. We have no idea if they met and married in Italy, or if they met in the USA. My husband's Grandfather was born Dec. 16, 1897 in New York, USA and died in 1967. He also had an older brother, Antonio who was born Jan 20, 1885 in Nusco, Italy and died in New York in 1969. Please contact my husband, Mike.

Re: family

Ciao Lara,

I have visited several times, and have traced my family history back to the Pace family and the DeBenedictis family. Also, I have found links to several locals in Prezza: Vitaliano Gentile (cugino), and perhaps a relative of yours... Quintino Pasquale-- who was married to Giuseppina DeBenedictis , my first cousin, twice removed. In fact, Quintino still owns the house that my great-great grandmother (Ester DeBenedictis) grew up in. It's right above the piazza, and ajoins the old Prezza castle... complete with prison. When I visited Prezza last June, I chanced to meet a native Prezzani who moved to Austrailia 40 years ago and had not been back to Prezza in many years since. He was visiting family, and I had the opportunity to meet with him and enjoy some Averna. I assume you are probably related, and most likely you know exactly who I am talking about. Well, unfortunately I cannot recall his name but I would enjoy any information that you may have on anyone that you may know that is related to the above families... birthdates, relatives, etc. I am in the process of constructing a family tree, so any help would be appreciated. Saluti!

Jeff

The people are very friendly, once they know why you are there. What surnames are you researching? I may be able to provide some information.

Susan. I couldn't tell if anyone ever answered your question. Avellino is a Province in the Campana region of Italy. Within that province is the city of Avellino, pretty good size. About 20 miles north of the city is the small town of Lapio. I have info on the Pasquale's from the town.
