Hello Donna,
In may frustration trying to find accurate information I found you and almost fell over in my chair. I also live in Lake Forest and am research my husband's Passage Family. My husband, Peter Herzog, is also the Mayor of Lake Forest, so you may have heard of him. If you don't think it is too forward of me, I would love to get together and share information as I am very confused between simular records that we share and what I am finding in my research. I have a clipping of the 7/12/1973 obituary that was in the Towanda PA newspaper for C. Deved Passage, born August 14, 1910. At one time he lived in LeRaysville PA. He is survived by his wife Beth, a step-daughter, Mrs. Barbara Kane of Redwood City CA, Mrs. William [Wilhelmina Keeler] Patterson of Media PA. He was predeceased by a sister. His grandfather, the first Charles Deved Passage, was my grandmother's grandfather. I have his love letters from 1857-1858 with his future wife - they lived in Frenchtown, in Asylum Township PA.

Charles DeVed Passage, son of the Charles Deved Passage who died in 1973, died in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 67 "where he had been living for some years, according to a telegram received by his niece, Miss Marie Passage. Burial was in Florida. (clipping undated)

Jacob & Mary Ann Passage - NJ & Bradford Co PA

Working on Jacob's son Charles Deved Passage's love letters with his future wife Maria Adelaide Chamberlain. Would like to know more about Jacob Passage's parents, and his wife Mary Ann's maiden name. Probably married c.1829 in New Jersey. Children were Martin, Hannah, Charles, Martha, William & Caroline. Jacob Passage was born c.1905 d. 1/4/1897, is buried in Liberty Corners PA. Mary Ann Passage was born c.1809 - date of death as yet unknown.

I have 3 photos of the Rev Douglass Passage family. He was born in NY in 1922. His parents were Albert and Mary per the 1930 census. He had another son Victor on that census. Rev Passage was the minister of Georgiaville Baptist Church, RI, when I was young, late 1940's. His family was very friendly with mine and so he stayed in touch after relocating and had sent pictures of his family. If there is anyone in touch with any of his family who would like a copy of these, please let me know and I'll scan them and e-mail to interested parties.

Yes I would like very much to have all the info you have on the Passage family. My great-grandmother and great-graedfather were Passage. They had a son killed in the Civil War. If you send me your phone number I will contact you. I live in Southern California in Lake Forest (half way between Los Angeles and San Diego off the #5 freeway). This is such good news for me to have you answer my request.
My line goes all the way to George an Eva Marie. Do you know if any Passage served in the Revalution?

George Passage the son of George John Passage and Eva Marie Bournoise Was born in 1730 in France and died in 1778 In andrustown, Ny. in the Bake oven massacre by the indians. Hi Betty! I came across some forum posts that you authored at ancestry.com... I'm just starting out with trying to put together a family lineage; I tried about ten years ago, but didn't really have the know how and I'm still very new to this and unfortunately first hand information is a bit limited. Just curious if you might be able to help me with any connection to a George A (Alonzo?) Passage who lived in Carthage, NY. I believe he past in 1988 or 1989 - Was Married to Lila Christman. They had six children - George Jr., Jean, Lila, Judy, Robert, and Paul (my father).

I believe his father's name (my great grandfather) was also George Passage - married to Claira (or Claire) Langdon. (I wish I had more dates for you!)

Unfortunately, this is all of the very limited information I have. I'm hoping this might be enough to link with your research. Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated, and of course, if there is a connection, anything I can help you fill in, I will be happy to! Thanks for your time and God bless!

I have a Rev Harry Passage in my family born 1754 New York and died 1841 in Indiana. He was the son of Hendrick and Sophia Magdelena Passage. It is possible that he belongs in my family tree.

I belong to the DAR. I have two soldiers
who were Denison's and one who was a Winans.
Fanny's daughter was Laura she was married Henry Clay Winans.
I also have a soldier who is a Winans. Contact me

can help you. Have you done any research on the
Passage family? That was Fanny's maiden name. Her parents
were George and Catherine. They had a son killed in the
Civil War. I have all those records from National. I also have a four generation picture of My aunt, grandmother, Laura, and Fanny. It is a darlying picture that I treasure of them together.

I have Fanny S. Passage bornJuly 28th 1837 N.Y. married Jared Dennison Parents name was George Passage and Catherine Fletcher he was born july 12, 1801 she was born April 14 1806 in Cedar Creek Pa. Hope this helps. I have the family from them back to George Passage who came to the us in 1730

I did a`quick search not knowing ages or anything but I see a Roswell Barker age 58 and his wife Anna 57 daughters Sarah and Jane.. living in Cato, NY Oswego county. I am sure there must be some land records there, looks like they had a farm and the next farm was owned by Henry Barker age 33 (maybe his son?) I would look for land records and then for wills etc with the county offices in Auburn.
I have no docutments in re to the Passages except as it relates to a will for my ggrandmother Ketcham/Wilde.The historian may have some family records also.

Anna was born in German Flats, Herkimer, NY
children Margaret, John, Anna, Adam,Joseph.Maria
All born in Warren , Herkimer,NY
I have most of the children and the spouses also. I am related through Samuel who was the son Adam.

I am not aware of any marriages to Native Americans. I did notice that there were Stricklands living in Cayuga county at the same time as the Passages.
Passages are related to my family through marriage and so I don't know everthing about the family. Just those that lived in Cayuga county and were related to the husband of my Grand aunt.

I just love how fast you write back! Do you know if any of the Passages were married to Native Americans or do you know if there is any Native American blood anywhere down the line?
This would be a HUGE help if you had any information.
I am still trying to get in touch with my aunt Norma Passage's kids (Donny, Eric, or Leslie), as they have some missing information, and even pictures of some of the early Passages.

I don't have any Stricklands in my files related to Passage. The latest names I have for the Passages are:
Lyndon Passage he died in 1985 I don't know who he married of if he married.
Richard Passage born in 1902 died in 1972 I don't know who he married or if he married.
Raymond Passage born in 1904 died in 1971
Anna Passage born in 1906. I have no other information on these people , just their parents as I traced back to earlier dates. A lot of families who lived in Cayuga county seemed to end up in Michigan or Ohio. So if you can find some firm dates and track back you might find the Strickland name.

I have an Adam Passage in my genealogy file, however he was born in 1775. Most of them seemed to be from Herkimer county NY. Do you have some names further back in time than those you mentioned? John Passage was Adam Passages father.
Names often repeated in those days, first son and all that stuff. They seem to have really large families.:)

I can never figure out which passage I am related to. I am nancy passage. my father was Steven Earl Passage. His father was Clinton Aurthur Passage. His father was Adam Passage. My paternal side of the family is from Michigan. Clinton was married to Joyce Thane (Michigan). Steven Earl Passage was married to Ruth Tomilee Bliss. I am the middle daughter of Steven and Ruth. Their other children are/were:

Nancy Louise Passage DOB: 2/26/63
Steven David Passage DOB: 7/21/67 Died: 7/26/91

Also, is there a Strickland surname associated with the Passage surname? By marriage?

George Passage was the father of Charles Passage, he married someone named Alice. I don't know her last name. He was born abt 1848, Alice was born abt 1849. They had three children, Jellie L , Frank, Charles.
Charles was born about 1877. His grandfather was Adam Passage and his wife Auriela Barker. Adam was born abt 1806 in Warren , Herkimer NY he died abt 1880
His chldren were Lydia, Samuel (was married to my ggaunt) Polly,George, Alice.
I hope this helps

Adam is as far back as I go in the Passage family.
The town historian in Weedport has a lot more information I am sure. They lived in Weedport for a long time.
