I am helping a friend research her family tree. Jose Antonio Villalobos is her 4th great grandfather. His son Ramon Villalobos married Juana Antonia Josefa Villalobos. Is anyone else researching the Pastrana/Vilchez family of Chihuahua City?
It seems they moved to the then capital of colonial Chihuahua, Hidalgo del Parral around 1744.

Manuela Gertrudis Pastrana verified in the July 27, 1788 birth record of her son, Jose Antonio Maria Villalobos Pastrana.

Sebastian Aguirre, brother of my ancestor Juana Maria Pabla Aguirre, was married in the home of Phelippa Antonia Vilches, widow of Raphael Alonso Pastrana. Almost certainly Phelippa Antonia Vilches and Raphael Alonso Pastrana were the parents of Manuela Gertrudis Pastrana, but I haven’t found a baptismal record for Manuela Gertrudis to verify this connection.

Phelippa and Raphael had at least four children in 1729, 1731, 1733 and 1735 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, before moving to Hidalgo del Parral where they had Josepha Maria del Raio Juliana Pastrana Vilches on April 16, 1744, who I believe is Manuela Gertrudis Pastrana’s older sister, or could be Manuela Gertrudis herself. All the members of this family had long names, up to 8, or nine names each.

My Grandmother Ramona Davila just died on Dec. 4th She was born on April 1 1917 to Luis Davila and Vicenta Saldana.

My Grandfather was born about 1905-10 not sure his name was Julio Pastrana

We were raise with my Grandmother side of the family so I dont know much about my grandfather. I know he was in the military.

I am researching Juan Diaz Y Pastrana for a close friend Lyn Pastrana Durland. He was Born 24 Jun 1888 in PR. He married Julia Miro Y Hernandez Abt 1910 in PR and came to Philadelphia as a US Navy musician. I have Fragosa Pastrana in Caguas in my family tree.

I'm working on my mother's family who were from San Lorenzo and, Tomas de Castro in Caguas.

My Great-grandmother was from Caguas. Her name was PAULA CLAUDIO APONTE, Her mother was. I have OROSIA APONTE FRAGOSA - b. 1835. Osoria was the daughther of MANUEAL APONTE GONZALEZ and CARMEN FRAGOSO PASTRANA. Carmen being the daughter of FRANCISCO FRAGOSO DE ACOSTA and JUANA PASTRANA VILLA. Juana was born 1786.

I hope this helps and if so we are related.

I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. On 14 Aug 1891 Presidio County Deputy Sheriff Toribio PASTRANO attempted to arrest Antonio CARRASCO at a fandango for the murder of Ranger Sergeant Charles Fusselman on 17 April 1890 when CARRASCO shot and killed him. CARRASCO's brothers, Matildo CARRASCO, was shot and killed by Ranger Ernest "Diamond Dick" St LEON in early 1892 and Florenico CARRASCO was shot and killed by rangers at El Polvo on 21 June 1892. Antonio CARRASCO was arrested for horse stealing and sentenced to 5 years in prison in mid-1890s. I am interested in correct spelling of PASTRANO's first and last name, family history and place of burial. One newspaper reported he was born in Texas of Mexican descent and was age 35 and married.

My father's last name may be spelled Fragoza, or Fragosa; I have seen it both ways in documenting my family.

My father, Rafael Fragosa Figueroa was born 20 Aug 1898 and died 17 Mar 1963 in NYC, NY.

His father's name was Felix Fragosa Rodriguez and his mother's name was Fernanda Figueroa, both of Caguas.

Felix Fragosa's father was Ceferino Fragosa Pastrana and his mother, Esequiala Rodriguez Soto.

My father had a sister named Luisa and perhaps a brother, Antonio for whom, I have not been able to find any information. If you know anything about this family, please email me, in Spanish or in English, at carole.fernandez@yahoo.com.

I think her father married later another person and had other sons, but i dont know nathing about them. Any conection???? She was born over 1890 and 1900,i think

I'm looking for family. My Grandfather died about 2 yr. and with him went the family history. His name was Julio Pastrana Vazquez. He was born in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. He moved to California in his younger days and returned to Puerto Rico. Up until his death lived in the Bayamon area. He still has a sister living by the name of Anita.

My grandmother is Ramona Davila, and She had four children with him. Julio Jr., Carmen Olga, William and Minerva. Now living in Philadelphia, PA USA.

He had other children from 2 other marriages. If you know these names and have info send me a message.

Efectivamente estamos hablando de Prudencio Pastrana quien se caso con Refugio Armendariz Robles quien es hija de Jose Armendariz y Josefa Robles. Como hijos de ellos solo tengo a cuatro: Prudencio Pedro Pastrana Armendariz (n. 1 Ago 1875), Maria Refugio (n. 2 Ene 1878), Alejandro (30 Oct 1879) y Jose (21 mayo 1884. Estos son los nombres que yo encontre cuando estaba buscando mi linea directa por Maria Tiburcia Pastrana hermana de Prudencio.
Yo vivo en Salt Lake City, UT.

Solo para estar seguros,el Prudencio del que estamos hablando casó con Ma del Refugio Armendariz. Coincide ésto con tus datos? Tuvieron alredeor de 18 hijos e hijas y uno de los mas pequeños fue Dario Pastrana Armendariz, quién a su vez se casó con Rosa Ma Dominguez.
De éste matrimonio resultaron 3 hijos pero se separaron o divorciaron y él se casó de nuevo.En mi familia también hay Pastranas pero tengo entendido que ellos eran de aqui del D.F. y el nombre de mi tatarabuelo era Joaquín Pastrana. Espero con ansia tu respuesta, un saludo. Rebeca
