I will share these names with my aunts who are form the Philippines. My email address is caseyk33@yahoo.com So far the only Pavon I know was my great grandfather Miguel Pavon who immigrated to the Philippines from Spain. And he had brothers who immigrated to Honduras from Spain and possibly the Philppines. He met my great grandmother in Ilo Ilo. Let's keep in touch to see if there is a connection. I am an Australian, born in the Philippines. My paternal grandmother was Francesca Pavon married to Salvador Casado from Malaga, Spain. Her Parents were Ricardo Pavon married to Francesca Carranceja.

Do you think there's any chance we are related?

Manuel Ignacio Pavao who later changed his name to Pavon had a daughter named Jacintha Pavao. Jacintha Pavao married Joe (Jose, Joseph) Souza. Jacintha Pavao is my Great Grandmother and Manuel Ignacio Pavao is my Great Great Grandfather. I recently visited Jacintha's grandson on Kauai his name is Walter Souza. Do you have any information on Jacintha Pavao I believe is was Manuel Ignacio (Pavao) Pavon's daughter. She is my great grandmother. I recently talked to one of her I believe nieces. Jacintha was married to Joseph (Joe) Souza and they lived on the island of Kauai. I believe we may by of the same lineage.

Manuel Ignacio (Pavao) Pavon immigrated from San Miguel to Kauai then to Oakland, California. He had many children born around 1910 on. John Ignacio Pavon was my Uncle. They were raised in Oakland and grew up and settled in various cities around the Bay Area.

my ggrandmother was Jacintha Pavao, her father was Manuel Ignacio Pavao. Manuel moved to California and changed his last name to Pavon. Part of his family carried the name Ignacio and some carried Pavao. Is this your family? I recently heard of a Jolene Pavao (about 57 yrs old) living on this island. I will attempt to make contact with her.

I am interested in finding out more about my great great grandmother her name was Baudilia Pavon or Pabon am not certain of the spelling that is one of my dead end, through research I know she died very young. She had the following children Eugenio Berganzo Eugenio's was nicknamed Nelly
, Josefa Berganzo Josefa's nickname was Dona Pepita, Paula Berganzo her nickname was Lito, and Chinina Berganzo am not certain whether or not that was her real name or her nickname. I was told that the family lived in the following areas in Puerto Rico Manati, Vega Baja , Fronton Ciales.

with a man named Ramon Berganzo am not certain if they were married or not.

Dicen que su hermanos salieron por Honduras. Posiblemente mi bisabuelo tenia hermanos con netas llamado Thelma Pavon o Sofia Pavon que viven o vivieron en Honduras. Ma agradeceria si tienes informacion de Pavon en Honduras con ancestros de Espana o Filipinas.

I am a Medeiros with Pavons in my family. The Medeiros side came thru Mass., I know the Pavon side came thru Hawaii. My uncle was John Ignacio Pavon who had brothers Antone, Manuel and ??, sister Mary, Mabel and ??. These people were born early 1900's. Manuel lived in Hercules, Uncle John, Hayward. Does this sound familar? They were all raised in Oakland on 32nd Street. Let me know.

from sao miguel in the azores, faja de cima then to kauai, then to oakland,ca I know my great grandmother Maria Mederios Jacintho Camara (later changed to Mary Camera), she married Joseph Jacintho. She had a brother Antonio aka Tony....I believe he and his wife adopted a son, William aka Willie.....they lived in Oakland....thanks for the message...tina

My great grandmother was Juana Pavon from the Canary Islands. She married Felipe Echavarry from Asturias, Spain and they found their way to the Ciales area of Puerto Rico probably in the late 1800's. Felipe had a tobacco plantation/farm and produced cigars. Together, Felipe and Juana had 14 children, all born in Ciales. If possible, I would like information on Maria Pavon and Felipe Echavarry. Mildred, I really couldn't tell you where your ancestry lies. You're best bet, and I'm sure you've heard this before, is to talk to relatives or people that know your family well. As for my link with the Pavon name, my mother told me it came from the Canary Islands. That's about all I know. Good luck in your search.

I am looking for any information about Maria Catalina Pavon. Believed to have married Jesus Sanabia before 1913. Moved to Cananea around 1918. Moved to Los Angeles, 1919. Married to Zeferino (Pablino?) Marquez sometime during the 1920s. Died young. Her eldest daughter, Lucia Guadalupe Sanabia (married name Rueda) was my grandmother.

I am looking for any information on Mary. She lived in Atlantic City, NJ in 1923 and still there in 1937. Her father's name was Issiah Luker, mother Ann Gaskill. Mary had a daugher of whom I am aware, Agnes(?), married a man named Townsend. They had two children, Mary and William. Any help would be appreciated.
