In just about every generation since at least one child bares the middle name of "Loftus", like your Norman. My gg grandfather was Thomas Peach who on 16/12/1903 married Matilda Christina SHAW at Hamilton,Vic. The witneeses were Albert Peach & Ethel Jane Wright (It might be Swift, it's hard to read. I think this could be you Albert.
I don't have an Albert,as yet, in my Peach tree but I suspect he could be the son of JR" & Bridget's 1st born John (1853-1893 who married a Jessie Johnson in 1877.
Can you help with this?

An Alfred Peach born 22 Oct. 1895 in Small Point, Newfoundland, Canada, immigrated to Chelsea, Mass., in 1915, married Mable/Mabel (Miles) Peach on 30 July 1918 (she was from Newfoundland, too, supposedly, but marriage date is after immigration date to USA as given in 1930 census), working as a carpenter in 1930 census, died in Saugus, Mass., on 13 Sept 1957. You seem to have too many "greats" for this person to be the Alfred Peach you are looking for.

Ronald Peach of Maryville, TN gave me the hint that Hezekiah was nicknamed "Kye" & using that I found him in the 1900 Census in Williamson Co., TN with his parents & one sister. I also found a very good Ancestry family tree that was documented with lots of info for Kye's siblings, parents, grandparents & great grandparents with most of the siblings.

Hezekiah's father was James Ailard Peach (1841-1913) (w. Sarah Skelley), grandfather James Peach b.1803 (w. Sarah Williams) & great grandfather William Peach b. 1749 Mass.(w. Elizabeth Bowden).

Hezekiah King Peach of TN & Evansville, IN

Hezeking as he is somtimes called was born in the Williamson Co., TN area 25 Oct 1880-82 & died in Evansville, IN 07 Feb 1958 & is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery with wife Bessie Willie. His death certificate listed James Peach as his father & Sarah Skiller as his mother. This is my wife's birth family (Hezekiah is her grandfather). Her brothers & sisters could not give much info on him other than they thought he was born around Nashville & had 2 sisters. The earliest info I can find is his marriage to Bessie in 1916 in Evansville. I can not seem to find anything earlier. I have searched for him on Ancestry for the 1900 & 1910 Census and searched for James Peach to no avail. Any connection to this James Peach or to his son Hezekiah would be a great help.

Hi there
Richard and Ellen Peach also had a daughter named Lucy (born 1867) Burton-on-Trent. Lucy's illegitimate son, Lewis Francis was born in 1883. He was my great grandfather. He married my great grandmother, Ada Cocking in Manchester in 1909 and they emigrated to NZ in 1912/13. I am trying to find out more about Lucy's family and who she married etc. Am finding it very difficult to find any trace of her after 1881 census where she is mentioned along with your family member Francis.
Do you know anything more?
Cheers
Melanie

Thank you for the information.
I haven't got very far with Kathleen Peach yet, I have a marriage certificate which seemed to tie up with Bertie Howes married in 1913 in Hambledon surrey, which mentions Josiah Peach as the Father and a birth certificate for my mother who was born in Haverfordwest Wales, Somerset and Croydon also played a part of their life. Sometimes Kathleen was called Kate and some of the census records have spelling mistakes on them - I've gone squared eyed looking at records and getting nowhere fast.
Kathleen Peach had 8 children Bertie, Francis, Cyril, Jimmy/William James, Rose, Joan, Nina and Vera who was my Mother.

Vera Blandy

He is a gardener Royal Parks, born Griffithstown, Mon 1882, and she was born Aldeburgh, Suffolk, 1883. Sounds more and more like my neighbour's late husband's father
