Estella Augusta Peerman was born 27 Apr 1881 near Ft. Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas. She died in 1960 and is buried in Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky. She married Harvey W. Ashford on 2 Jan 1877 near Luray, Russell County, Kansas. I have visited their graves in KY. They have a living daughter, Thelma, who lives in Owensboro, Kentucky. I correspond with her. The information from Emily Allyn about Gussie's parents is correct.

Kathryn/Katherine A. Peerman was the daughter of Joseph L. Peerman and Emma West. Joseph Peerman was the son of Isaac H. Peerman and Rebecca Moore, daughter of Elihu Moore and Jane Nesler.

Emma West was the daughter of Jacob West and Permelia Duckworth. Jacob was the son of David West and Rebecca Culley, daughter of Joseph Culley and Jane Canaday (and Rebecca was a double first cousin to my ggg grandmother Elizabeth Culley Barton). Permelia Duckworth was the daughter of John Duckworth and Abilene Phillips.

Marriage - Everett L. Peerman and Nora Link both from St. Genieve County, Mo., but married in Clay Co, Ark.

Gussie Peerman Ashford was the daughter of John Wesley Peerman and Harriet Allyn of Posey County, Indiana. Harriet first married David B. Peerman, but he died of smallpox during the Civil War. Harriet then married her brother-in-law John Wesley Peerman. After John's death, she married Joseph Logue.

Harriet was the daughter of Jehial Allyn and Jane Duckworth. Jehial was the son of Peleg Allyn and Mary Lobdell.

Her father's name was John Peerman and her mother was Mary Jane Bell. I believe that I have corresponded with you before. Mary Jane Bell's father was Samuel Bell. Martha Ann (Peermand) and Samuel Alexander Patton was my husband's great grandparents.

"JOSEPH LINDALL PEERMAN - Joseph Lindall Peerman, 61, of 2810 Highland avenue, died yesterday morning. He is survived by four sons, Dr. Roy W Peerman, Tampa, Dr. E. T. Peerman, of East St. Louis, Ill., Charles E. Peerman, Ajron, Ohio, and Joseph L. Peerman, New Harmony, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Baker and Mrs. Elsie Mae Butsch, both of Akron, and Mrs. Katherine Hyatt, of New Harmony, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the J. L. Reed & Son chapel by the Rev. J. E. Grimes, of United Brethren church, with burial in Myrtle Hill cemetery. Active pallbearers will be H. H. White, Ernest Newton, Dr. L. O. Guest, Dr. R. A. Bryant, Dr. Charles E. Gesser and Dr. Wilbur Hicks, of Plant City."

grandparents on both sides. my mom died, sometime in the 60's
and my dad in nov. 1984. i am particularly interested in my moms background.
I was adopted and went to live in illinois in 1965. My mom had two sisters

My gggrandmother was Sarah A. Peerman. Not sure of her husband's name or when she was born. She died in 1921 in Ardmore, South Dakota. Had a daughter Ada Zillah, my great grandmother. Not sure if this is the same person, but maybe???
