Hi Carol,
Have just started research on Coutts, and found your message. Did Mary Peggie's brother come out to Australia as well? I'm not sure if I can help you, but will certainly try. Judie

Carol, Mary Peggie is my Gx4 grandmother. You have much the same information as me - a little bit more in fact about Mary's siblings. I have John Peggie's parents as John Peggie and Agnes Adam, but no more information. The information I have on Mary Peggie and George Coutts and their descendants comes from the Coutts family history.

Have you found any more since making this post?

Mary James Peggie (Brother Sister)

I am looking for any information on Mary Peggie b. 1813 in Auchtermuchty, to John Margaret (Corbet) Peggie (I think). Mary married George Coutts b. 1814/15 on 26th May, 1834 in the Parish of Dron, County Perth, Scotland. Mary and George left for Australia on 20th September, 1841 from Greenock, they had 9 children, John, Mary, George, Ann, David, Jane, Catherine, James and Robert. Mary had a brother James b. 1810 who also went to Australia and helped Mary build her house after the death of George. Any information on Mary and James, especially Scottish History would be appreciated.
