Yes James apparently came to Australia and helped to built Mary's house at "Brenanah", but nothing else is known of him

I am struggling with this family. I have James Peggie who married Jane or Janet Harris. Their son John was born about 1833 in Perthshire. I am looking for any information.

Carol, Mary Peggie is my Gx4 grandmother. You have much the same information as me - a little bit more in fact about Mary's siblings. I have John Peggie's parents as John Peggie and Agnes Adam, but no more information. The information I have on Mary Peggie and George Coutts and their descendants comes from the Coutts family history.

James, thanks for your info, I did have that, Mary is supposed to be the daughter of John and Margaret (Corbet) Peggie, I have James b. 2/9/1810, John b. 24/11/1811 and Mary b. 19/9/1813,this information I was given by a family member and I would like it confirmed that Mary was their daughter, I have a family tree for the Peggie's back to the early 1700's. Mary James Peggie (Brother Sister)

I am looking for any information on Mary Peggie b. 1813 in Auchtermuchty, to John Margaret (Corbet) Peggie (I think). Mary married George Coutts b. 1814/15 on 26th May, 1834 in the Parish of Dron, County Perth, Scotland. Mary and George left for Australia on 20th September, 1841 from Greenock, they had 9 children, John, Mary, George, Ann, David, Jane, Catherine, James and Robert. Mary had a brother James b. 1810 who also went to Australia and helped Mary build her house after the death of George. Any information on Mary and James, especially Scottish History would be appreciated.

sorry I dont have any info on your Peggies - my line comes from Fife - not too far away. I and another (unrelated) Peggie are trying to slowly piece together some of our trees - it would be great to find a tie in!! What info do you have on your Peggie????
