Grace (?) and Edith Pelzer, Tucumcari NM 1930

I am seeking information on a young couple living in Tucumcari, Quay CO NM in 1930. They are shown as roomers in the household of Andrew B Simpson, at 409 Adams Street. The man's name appears to be Grace??? He is 23, married at age 22. Edith is 21, married at age 20. "Grace" is a salesman of automobiles. Andrew B Simpson was my great grandfather. The wife he is shown with, Mattie K, was his third wife. Her previous name may have been Mrs DeYoung, and I do wonder if DeYoung was the maiden name of Edith Pelzer. Any ideas, suggestions, etc, send to <simpsonseeker@yahoo.com> please.

This is to Celena...I just reread your message more carefully and saw that your grandfather's name was James Pelzer. Well although my father's name was Sidney Pelzer he was nicknamed "Jimmy" after an uncle of his named James Pelzer. What a coincidence huh? I would love to start chatting with you. About 2 years ago I met someone on here who turned out to be my cousin! It was so exciting. We did some talking and figured it all out. We are definitely related. Keep in touch and feel free to email me.

Hello Celena. My name is Tawanda Pelzer Cavicchio and I am South Jersey. I think we are related. My grandfather's name was Sidney Pelzer Sr. and my father's name was Sidney Pelzer Jr. They are indeed from Orangeburg, S.C. as well. I have a lot of family in NY as well as South Carolina. I even have some in North Carolina. There are also a lot of Pelzers who reside in Philadelphia. The Pelzer family is so big that it's almost impossible to meet everyone. Please email me at vuluptuous_female@yahoo.com so we can get aquainted.

Helen,

I don't if you have seen this but the PA 1920 census lists William G. Pelzer...This is our Pelzer.
It also indicates that he immigrated in 1891 or 1894. Can't read the text very well..Also Eugenia is listed as immigrating in 1888........
They were both naturalized in 1903.

Johanna Pelzer, Germany to US, Minnesota

Is anyone trying to find a sister, Johanna Pelzer, born around the mid-1800s, probably in Berlin? My husband's grandfather married a Johanna Pelzer, probably in Stillwater, MN. His name was John George Kern and he was born 1850 in Baden area, Germany. Johanna may have come to U.S. as a child as we have a apicture of her with her grown children, a son and two daughters, bit we don't know the name of Johanna's Mother or her siblings. Johanna and John Kern had five children, Frank, Edith, August, Herman and George Henry.

Thier children were William, Joseph (Runky), Mathias (Dick), Hilda, and Eva. My mother was Hilda. My great-grandparents were Wilhem Peltzer and Maria or Marie Zimmerman from either Koeln or Cologne, Germany. When I saw your post, I thought about Uncle Runk. Only met him once, but knew his wife name was Dolly. Had to stop and think about what his real name was. I only knew of him as my Uncle Runk. Could we be related? I would love to know. Mother said they did not get his name right when he came here in the 1870s. That he had told her that it was Peltzer, but he dropped the t. His mother was Marie Zimmerman before she married Wilhelm Peltzer. Hope this helps someone. I sure would like to know more myself. If I remember or find other papers will post them.
