I have been told by my grandfather I am a descendant of William Penn, founder of PA. My great grandmother was Phoebe Penn, b. 1918. She was daughter of William Penn and Rebecca Penn of N.J. William Penn, b. 1870, in PA, was son of James Penn and Margaret A Penn. James Penn is believed to be born somewhere in PA possibly in March 1864. He died the 13th of Feb 1908 in Florence Township, Burlington County, N.J. I have hit a dead end at this point. I am writing a research paper on William Penn for my civics class, when my grandfather decided to "surprise" me. So hence my quest to find out if indeed I am a descendant.
