i am searching for information on my grandfathers mothers side of the family. my grandfather told me that the family was sent from spain to colonize Texasa and was given abt 35,000 acres. he said it was his great grandfather Hilario (ylario,Ilario,Elario??) Perez that was granted the land from Queen Isabel. they settled in south Texas on a ranch my grandfather calls Los Encinos. His aunt (greataunt) currently resides on what is left of the acreage (abt 3000. if anyone can help me or is of relation to this Perez famly please let me know thank you

Juan Contreras Perez from Almeria, Spain

My grandfather was Juan Contreras Perez who came to the US sometime around 1913, to Arizona. He came from Almeria, Spain. He never spoke of his life in Spain. He left from Cadiz on a ship to Veracruz and entered the US at Nogales, Arizona. I believe his father's name was Melchor. I do not know if my grandfather Juan had any siblings or other family in Almeria. Anyone have any information?
Since writing this I found out that he was born in Antas, Almeria in 1901. His mothers name was Contreras, taking his fathers last name Perez in the US.

I am looking for any relatives I have out there under the last name Perez. The majority of the family lives in various parts of Texas, and even some in Washington State.
My grandmother, Eloiza, married my grandfather, Candelario, and had a total of 11 children named Paul, Armando, Joe, Gonzalo, Fred, Rosendo, Angela, Rosa, Virginia, Cecilia and Magdalena. I am the youngest daughter to Cecilia Varela. My grandmother, Eloiza, was the youngest out of her and her siblings. The only one, I remember, was her brother Lorenzo.

I would just like to know my family out there and learn about our heritage. Of course being one of the younger grandchildren, I didnt get to know to much and have to rely on the family to tell me what they've learned. But then, with the Perez sense of humor, its hard to know when it's being said out of sheer honesty or just to play.

PLEASE if this sounds familiar, respond to this post. I am dying to correspond with family. Thank you!

Pedro and Joesphine are buried near the beach in Biloxi Cemetery next to Peter Perez. Peter has a headstone, Pedro and Josephine do not, but are buried on the north side of Pedro. I am a descendent of Antonio, son of Pedro and Josephine.

I am still working on a brick wall, does any one have information on Maria Perez listed above she was marred to Jose Gomez we don't know his middle name but it it possible it is Eleodoro. All we have is their names their son was kidnapped somewhere in the state of Chijuajua Mexico and was dropped off in New Mexico with two other children, we don't know very much whether they were siblings or not and what families they were adopted into. But he was old enough to know his parents names. Any help or insight on these name would be greatly appreciated. I don't think I have every posted this inquiry on the Perez board. Looking for my daughters father, any relatives

This is mainly for charting and health purposes but she may also be interested in meeting up with her dad or other family members, possibly even getting some family photo's.

Her fathers name was Henry, I am aware of at least one sister who also had children. When I knew Henry he was single, living with his mom in Hialeah Gardens, FL, USA.

According to Henry, the family was of Spanish (Spain) heritage. I was also single and my last name at the time was Morgan, our daughters name is Stephanie, which he should be aware of.

Due to personal circumstances with either family I prefer not to share too much here. If you think this might be you or that you are related to this person, contact me and we will go from there.

The time frame would have been between 1986 - 1988 approximately. Thanks in advance.

PORT ISABEL, TX-
Estella M. Perez, 85, of Port Isabel, TX, entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility in Olmito, TX.
Estella was born in Wagon Mound, New Mexico on April 26, 1926. She graduated in 1944 from high school and moved to Oakland, California with her family where she was employed by Naval Division of the War Department during World War II.
She met Jose Pascual Perez Sr. in the fall of 1945 and married him in early 1946. They had seven children. She moved to Port Isabel in March of 1947 after giving birth to her oldest child in late 1946. She was instrumental in working with Urban Renewal in changing the landscape of Port Isabel. In the mid 50's, she worked for Port Isabel Independent School District Tax Office. Estella also spent several years working as a secretary in the early 1960's for Dr. Cunick. She was the secretary for Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church until she retired in 1991.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Pascual Perez Sr.; her daughter, Loretta Perez; her grandson, Rodney Perez; her parents, Juan and Mercedes Montoya; two sisters, Leonora Trujillo and Cecilia SaldaÃ¡a; and her brother, Esteban Montoya.
She is survived by her daughter Lorraine P. (Francisco) Torres; her sons: Eddie M. (Nydia) Perez, Jose Pascual (Noemi) Perez Jr., Steve Perez, Pat (Alicia) Perez, and Martin Perez; sister Elisa Lovato; her brother Gilbert Montoya; eleven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located on 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel.
Visitation will continue on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm with Mass of Resurrection to begin at 3:30 pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Noed Perez, Kevin Perez, Nolan Perez, Steve Perez Jr., Sidney Moore, and either Eric Louviere or Justin Perez.

JUDE JAILS LOCAL MEXICAN FOR THEFT OF EMPTY BOXES
Joe Perez, a Mexican living in the local colony in the western part of town, is serving a 60 day sentence in jail as the result of conviction for stealing empty boxes from the rear of the drug store of P.P.Brady of Upland,California.
Arrested Sunday Perez pleaded guilty before Judge Crane in Upland,Ca and was jailed for 60 days on failure to pay the $60 fine assessed.
O.P.Brady, Upland druggist, was informed on Jan 31 that a man had been seen taking boxes from the rear of his store. Sunday afternoon Don Brady brother of the druggist,saw a truck loaded with boxes pass by the station where he is employed.The truck answered the description of the machine seen at O.P.Brady's store.
Jumping into a coupe young Brady followed the truck to a Mexican home in Claremont, where Perez was arrested. At the home a large number of boxes were found.
Perez who is believed to have been operating for several months is said to have made his weekly trips to Upland just after daybreak on Sunday mornings.

Chances are your ggggrandfather came to Guam. Perez clan is a large family. Each member had several children. My ggggrandfath3er is a perez also and he was one of several. When I get more info, will send more names your way. One name you can track is Gregorio Perez. He may be one of his children. I'll bet that be related. Guam was occupied by Spain for 300 years. hello i am looking for reletive's of my great grandparents Luisa Perez and Marcelo Garcia, who were from mexico. they immigrated to the U.S. in 1899 after the birth of their son. their childrens names are Francisca (f), Victor (m), margarite (m), Adela (f). all of which moved to Texas. any information would be great.
