Hi Peter, just a little update, I have now managed to track my line back to Old Brentford/Southall, Middlesex, England and to the lovely round year of 1800. Woohoo just one more year and I'll be in the 1700s. I intend to go over to Southall this summer and investigate the graveyards will let you know if I find anything. Strange thing is when we moved from Scotland to England we lived about ten minutes from where we've apparently originated from, how freaky is that.

Hi Peter

I came across your name on the ancestry.com website and was curious to find out how you had progressed with your research on the Perriss family Tree. I am now a McClintock but my maiden name is Perriss. I was born to an Alan Perriss in Glasgow, Scotland. His father was a Reganold(?) Perriss. Both my grandfather and father are dead now but I've often thought about putting together a family tree myself.

I'd be interested in your progress

Kindest Regards Maxine McClintock

I posted a message last year regarding the Perriss family& have since found links to the Hanna, Harrison & Frost families through birth, marriage & death certificates that have come into my possession. I cannot seem to trace any of them. Perhaps somebody can help me?
regards

I am just starting to investigate my family tree and came across your name several times on the net regarding the Perriss family.
If the following information is of any use to you it may also help me in trying to trace my ancestry which to say the least is vague.
My name is Peter Stephen Perriss born 2/7/52 at Kingston upon Thames to Alan Stephen Perriss and Nora Mary Perriss nee Harrison. My paternal grandfather was Stephen Perriss who was married to Harriet Hanna (spelling unsure). Stephen had several brothers one of which was Tom who lived in Billingshurst Sussex and a sister Maud who lived in Faversham Kent. My great grandfather was I believe a sea captain who became blind before my grandfather was born. He apparently went to live in Margate Kent where I believe he ran the Margate Steam Laundry and was either a councillor or Mayor of Margate. My Grandmother Harriet was either of German descent or had married my Grandfather in Germany (Hanover?). You now have the total extent of my family history.
My Father still lives in Bognor Regis Sussex but his memory of the family tree has gone. I am endeavouring to get birth marraige and death certificates from my father who claims to have several. I do not know who they belong to yet.
If any of this information correlates to information you have I would be grateful if you could let me know. I am resident in Australia where I migrated to on my own in 1974.
Your assistance would be appreciated.
Regards
