My mother-in-law was born Emilia Persia, daughter of Giovanni Persia and Anna Marcelletti in Civitella, Roveto, L'Aquila,Italy on 11 Sep 1914. She came to the US in 1948 as a war bride and my husband was born later that year. Two of her brothers (7 children in all) came to Canada and stayed and raised families. The 4 other siblings remained in Italy. I am looking for relatives from the Persia clan. There is a possibility that the surname is DePersia. My Great Grandfather, Alfredo Persia, was born 1893/1894 in Montorio al Vomano. He arrived at Ellis Island on August 12, 1912. He married Lucia Mascitti and settled in Philadelphia.
