Hello, my family is from henry county Alabama(Lawerencville, Capps,Headland, and Newville) I noticed Atlas Murphy on your tree. I'm related to Mozella Murphy(great-great grandmother),sister of Atlas Murphy(1880) but their are two different Atlas one born between 1877-1880
( married to Lular/Lula), and one born in 1904 married to Mabel. I was just wondering if this is a Atlas Sr, Atlas Jr. I'm from Dothan Alabama, and know of one Peterman (Frankie), I live in Jacksonville Fl. but will be going home this summer, and plan to do further research.
Hi. I have just read your 2004 query re Hendrik and Tryntje Pieterman on Ancestry.com. My name is Christine and I am trying to find out about my uncle Frank Golding who emigrate from the UK to USA in 1925. He had 2 daughters, one of whom (Violet) married a Hendrik Pieterman in January 1949. I wonder if this is the same Hendrik Pieterman who was originally married to Tryntje.

Violet had a sister, Betty May, but we can find nothing about her.

Do you know anything about these people.

Thanks.
My family originates from the town of Pflaumheim (which I believe is now considered a part of Grossostheim). At this time, I'm looking for information on Hofling's living in Pflaumheim from the mid/late 1800's to the 1970's. Specifically, I'm looking for any information on Franz Hofling and Maria Sammer, his wife, or their children.

Hi LorieDeAnn,

I'm not sure if this will help or even if there is a connection between your Petermans & mine, but I definitely remember my father mentioning an Aunt Mamie. He evidently spent a lot of his early years with her and his uncle on their farm, but I can't remember if the uncle's name was Fred. They evidently spoke mostly German at home.

My father's family started out in East Saint Louis, IL, but moved to Cincinnati, OH when his father (William Peterman) died a few months before my father's birth in February of 1919.

The parents of William Peterman were Valentine & Hannah (nee Seamore - spelling uncertain) Petrman. I'm not yet a serious researcher, but have a Genealogy photo album on Myspace with some family names & pictures if you think there might be a link to your family.

Dee Peterman

Bonnie -- I am Brian Peterman, your father's older brother. Mark's parents were John Lyle and Celestine Peterman. Marks siblings were Cecilia, Kathleen, Brian (me), Danny, Theresa, Josie, (Mark), Joe, and Shawn. In the past 4 years, my wife and I have discovered multiple cousins that were children of my siblings; most of those cousins would love to connect with and have a relationship with their other cousins.

Peterman - York Co., PA

I would like to hear from any Peterman researchers who are descendents of the York Co., PA Peterman family (Michael, Peter, Daniel, Valentine Peterman) and are interested in collaborating in searching for the European roots of the family.

I would like to brainstorm and network with others to focus on the village in Germany or Switzerland where the family may have originated.
Greg Peterman
greg@gate.net
