Bihn, Christophori and Ludivicus of Dirmstein, Pfalz, Bayern

Have been trying for years to determine if there is a link between these two men. I suspect they might be brothers born in the late 1700s.

My ancester is Andreas Bihn, son of Christophori. Andreas had one son George Peter who died quite young leaving a widow and four young children. When the widow died a few years later the children were sent out of town to an "uncle" Joseph Bihn who ran an orphanage. We know Joseph was the son of Ludivicus and was not brother to Andreas so I'm thinking perhaps their fathers were brothers. Andreas was born in Dirmstein on 20 Apr 1814. Joseph was born there in 1822.

Schneider and Trapp from the Rhein-Pfalz

I am seeking the family of Michael Schneider and Clementina Trapp. Their daughter Catherina Schneider, born 8.8.1833, supposedly in the Rhein-Pfalz or Baden (one source says Bayern). Another daughter, Maria, Schneider, born 8.15.1839.

The name of the town has never been determined. Catherine came to the U.S. circa 1853 and Maria came around 1858, and they moved lived in New York and then moved on to Illinois, where they raised their families.

Catherine married a man from the Rhein-Pfalz and Maria married a man from Alsace. My Schneider/Trapps were Catholic. Would you be familiar with any Catholic Trapp lines from your research?
