      <description>I have been reseaching my grandfathers name and have tracked it to Levor Slovakia where I have found many with that name. It has been spelled Pilar,Pillyar,Pellar depending on which languge used in the records. some are in Latin,Hungrein,Rusyn,and Slovak.</description>

      <description>My ancestor was naamed Conrad Byerly  other variants. English clerks were very bad about German surnames or others that they did not understand. I do not think that he was a Piarly or variant but merely the clerk. Hope this helps. 2001 may answer all the questions?&lt;br&gt;Donald</description>
