Hi,
My name is Cindy Wilson Aiken. John and Anna Pilgrim are/were my gg grandparents. My g- grandmother was Margaret. Margaret married a Turner. Their daughter, Vera was my grandmother. She married John Wilson. Never met this grand father. He left granny with two small boys. Thomas James Wilson was my dad. I have some more info you're interested. You can e-mail me at aikenlulu@aol.com. I will try to keep a check on my mail box. I have posted some info on my family tree on ancestry. I still have family members in Anderson to Calhoun Falls. Looking forward to finding out more.
I was told that John was an Indian who took Anna's maiden name as his own. Hope I haven't confused you.
Cindy

He married Hattie Mady and had at least one child--Annie.

If you would like the original photo, I am NOT related and am trying to get the photograph to someone who is related and would want it. I am not trying to make a profit and just ask that you reimburse the $4 I spent and shipping costs. If you are interested, just let me know! :)Jessica

I am new to this site but was wondering if anyone would hold any information for the two individuals listed above. Thomas E (Edward-I think!) was the son of Silvester Pilgrim (b. 1897 Rotherham m. Jane Hawkridge (Thomas’ E mother) in 1918 and d. in 1981). I really could do with any information that anyone may hold. Unfortunately, I do not have any further information for Mary as I have only managed to find a listing for a marriage so far.
Thanks in advance,
Sarah
Paula,
I am very interested in this bunch of Pilgrims. I have run across this group while checking out the name William in general. There are a few of us in my group researching our James Harrison Pilgrim (b. abt 1817). I have seen one tree that claims he is the son of Thomas but there is no proof and we are thinking he is the son of William (abt 1780), son of Ezekiel R (abt 1755), but we have no proof of that either. I would very much like to see what you have from Ezekiel (1755) down. Yes, I would like an invite to your tree. Thanks, Sylvia

I have a tree on ancestry re: this William & wife Eliza. Census, kids, explanations, etc. Even his Civil War pension Eliza applied for. The family story that he just left one day too. What is strange, I found an 80 yr old Pilgrim cousin that had a picture of William's son, Abe. Then on ancestry that same picture was identified as family of James Madison Pilgrim. I believe this James Madison was another son of William. The man I got the picture from did not even know Abe might have had brothers. But the same picture was in both sets. I am from Abe. I believe Eliza was the widow head of household 1880 Clarke Co, MS- there was males- EW, AT, JM. This has got to be my Abe. Anyway, I've got this typed into that tree. Have you found it- or do I need to send invite??

Are you desc from William W Pilgrim, also?? I have tried to find some of this James Madison Pilgrims' set (looks like to TX), but have not been successful. I went to Laud Co, MS & looked at marriage license of William W Pilgrim & Eliza Butler-hoping someone had given permission for one of them to marry-no such luck. Been to Nesh, Laud, Jones & Clarke Cos, MS courthouses trying to find info also. Thank you for contacting me; let's compare.

Paula in MS
paulacarterdavis@yahoo.com

I have been working on this William also. I agree that he is the son of Ezekiel and not Sidney.
I have not much to add here except there is an E Pilgram (note spelling) in 1840 Pickens Co. AL census. This appears to be more than one family. Perhaps the added male b 1810-1820 was a husband to the female b. 1820-1825, with or without children. Just a guess at this point.
If you find more, please keep me in mind to share. Thanks
Sylvia

I have seen her name in various trees, but not looked at any Phillips info at this time. That Wm Pilgrim who married Eliza Butler is definitely the one I am looking for. Iam getting death cert back with mother "Liza" and "Lizzie" Butler listed as mother. I believe, but cannot prove (so far) that this Wm Pilgrim who married Liza was Wm W the s/o Ezekial Pilgrim. The Wm who married Liza had full name Wm W Pilgrim. Anyway, I am still piecing this all together. If I see something re: Phillips, I will let you know.

Ezekial Pilgrim B 1795 SC married Mary W Phillips- came to AL & MS

Seeking info on this couple's son, William B12 July 1834 while they were in Fayette Co, AL. Other trees have nothing further than William's birthdate. Attempts to track Ezekial (and thus Wm) unsuccessful past the 1830 Fayette Co, AL census & his 1839 AL land records. Other trees have Ezekial as dying 1853 in MS. I cannot find Ezekial in censuses after 1830. I cannot find Wm in census- but I believe he was the Wm in 1860 Nesh Co, MS with wife Eliza J B 1840 & son Ezekial W. Icannot find another Wm that matches this 1860 Wm. People are confusing this William W with his cousin, William M Pilgrim (s.o Sidney Long Pilgrim).

Any leads appreciated.

Paula in MS

William W Pilgrim B 1834 MS or AL

Trying to find Pilgrims who have a William W in this birth range in their family; he came to MS and disappeared. His wife would have been Eliza J or Ann E (B 1840). I believe he is the William in the 1860 Nesh Co, MS census, with son Ezekial W B 1860 MS; it is the only match I can come up with. Cross ref this MS Pilgrim family, I am coming up with only ONE William that would fit- the son of EZEKIAL PILGRIM and Mary Walden Phillips. The info I can find on that son only lists his birth date and no other info. I know Ezekial, father of this Wm died 1853 MS per other trees, but cannot find that Ezekial past the 1830 Fayette Co, AL census & 1839 AL land records.

I need to correspond with someone who knows this Ezekial line. Many are confusing Wm s/o Ezekial with the Wm M s/o Sidney Long Pilgrim- they were separate Williams.

Any help appreciated.

Paula in MS

Pilgrim / Pilgram Families - Harrison Co. Indiana - 1820s to 1840s

Hello---

I am searching for Pilgrim/Pilgrim families who were in Harrison County, Indiana, 1820s to 1840s or later, particularly a daughter Sarah, born about 1808 (more or less)

John H. Miner/Minor married Sarah Pilgrim/Pilgram in 1822 in Harrison County, Indiana. Both had to file affidavits for the marriage, as both were under age. (Or would John H. Minor have had to file an affidavit if he had been previously married? I wonder.)

He is likely related to Joseph Miner/Minor of Fayette County, Indiana, and Ann Minor Nolan of Decatur County, Indiana.

I find Sarah Pilgrim and John H. Minor's household in 1830, Harrison County, Indiana, listed on the same page with John, William, and Thomas Pilgrim.

I appreciate any information you can provide, and do thank you in advance.

Warmest Regards,

Donna

Charles Pilgrim in Montreal

Like everyone else I am searching for the past. What I know is Charles arrived Quebec, then Montreal with son William (Maybe more children)in 1837. His wife had died in England around 1834. Charles was a stone mason and died in 1847 (where buried?) his son William went to live with bothers Robert and Henry in Hamilton. I have Paul who has info about Hamilton, but looking to discover more about Charles if possible. William eventually goes to Wisconsin, then Minnesota. I have most of the Wisc and Minnesota stuff. Just trying to get back to England with Charles. Did any other children come with him ? If you think you have any clues about this situation please write to me Even if it doesn't fit quite right. Many Thanks from Dave Pilgrim in New Zealand.

She is a wealth of knowledge and I'd be happy to ask her anything that you'd like to know. I had a conversation with her this morning and she told me that somehow the Pilgrim's have ties with British royalty (or so the stories go), and that I am aiming to research myself.
