Loriann,

I am a great-granddaughter to Edith (Miller) Baum by Eva Belle (Baum) Schnetzer. I and other family members would like to attend a Miller family reunion. My e-mail is kathy.micheel@gmail.com as I, too, am interested in family treasured moments and their treasures. Has anyone else heard about the black panther chasing great-grandfather on this his horse?

Hello, I have a 5 generation picture of Pheoba, Clara, Edith, Eva Belle and my father James Schnetzer. I am Kathy, Jim's oldest daughter. Eva Belle's brothers and sister are still living in South Dakota.

Pheobe vs Pheoba; I was always told from my grandmother that her name was (Fee-Baa) not (Fee-Bee).

I look forward to working with anyone who has more family history documents and stories from and about our family members and their interaction with their neighbors.

Therefore, she may no longer be monitoring board posts. She had other posts to this board, and you might also want to review her posts to other boards for clues. (One post is to a MI county board.)
Goldie Ann,
I am even newer to this than you, since I am just finding this message board! I am your 3rd cousin Wendy Wilson from Milford, CT. Your father was my 2nd cousin and his father was my great-uncle Eddie and my grandmother's brother. My grandmother was Roby Etta Pillsbury Gardner. I remember Uncle Eddie & Aunt Elizabeth fondly....he so tall and she so short. I also remember the house in Shelton, CT going there quite often with my parents and of course my grandmother. My grandmother had a sister named Susie who married Wallace Bennett and they lived in Derby, CT. Uncle Eddie, Aunt Elizabeth & you came to our house in Milford quite often, usually on a Sunday afternoon. I have been married almost 40 years and have 2 grown children, a son & daughter and 4 granddaughters. I would enjoy hearing back from you since there are so few family members left. It was fascinating to see your post on Ancestry!
Wendy

Looking for the parents of my great-great grandfather Samuel G. Pillsbury. The info I have is that he was born March 17, 1837 in Great Falls, New Hampshire (I have not been able to find Great Falls on any map of New Hampshire), married Caroline F. Bragdon who was born in Shapleigh, York County, Maine. They had four children: Carrie Edith, Edward, Ella and Eliza. I find Samuel his family in Massachusetts in the 1870 Census and in Phillips County, Kansas in the 1880 Census, which is where they died and are buried. Would like any info on the parents of Samuel G. Pillsbury and/or where Great Falls, New Hampshire is located. I may be contacted directly thru my e-mail address.

Hi Kelly,
I think we have the same grandparents. They came from Revere Beach, Mass (Endicot Ave). They have 3 children: Janice Lee Pillsbury Tingle (DE), David Nelson Pillsbury (CA) and Peter Pillsbury (CA). I know that my great grandfather's name was John Bertram. I remember seeing pictures of a white haired man with a yellow dog and hearing about trips over seas when he was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. E-mail me back if I am right. Would love to hear from you. My e-mail address is Tidbit9898@aol.com
Vicky

Thanks for the reply. This line continues to Stephen Osgood,b.12/9/1761 then Eleanor, b.5/7/1791. Eleanor Osgood marries Daniel Weed on 9/30/1810, this marriage produces Ruth Porter Weed,b.12/19/1817. Ruth married Daniel Fallansbee Morrill on 11/30/1843. This produced Alfred Worthy Morrill,b.1847. Alfred is my wife's g-g-grandfather. I didn't know if you had info thru that period or on that branch of the family. My wife's grandmother, b.1914 who we saw yesterday remembers growing up in Amesbury like it was the other day.

Have you tried to locate the death certificates of your grandparents? Death Certificates give a lot of info that might help, but remember they are only as reliable as the person giving the info.

First find the death index for the state where they died and find the year they died. Most states list at least the date of death, location, and a register number of some sort. From this you can request the actual certificate, if it still exists. NoTE: You can usually find death indexes at your local LDS library or Genealigical Society and some certificates are also on microfilm.
Also check newspapers in the area where they died for an obit. That may tell you something of the family.

Hope this helps.

I heard from my Uncle Bob back home in Connecticut. I got more info. My grandfather's name was Hobart Edwin Pillsbury. His parents were Edwin Pillsbury and Susan Crettenden. There was a mistake in the Social Security records that I am going to try to have corrected. The zip code for his death records read 64084, which is Missouri. It is supposed to be, 06484, which is Shelton Connecticut. They messed my dad's up, too. I have all the info on my dad, so I know that his death place was incorrect as well.
