Alfredo soy tu primo Ricardo Pinedo de santa marta. Hace unos anos tuve en mis manos un libro cuyo estudio se hizo por orden del gobierno brasilero tratando de encontrar herederos de un patrimonio enorme de un Sr. Alvarez Correa. En ese libro estaba la historia de como entro Pinedo a Alvarez Correa y aparecian los viejos Samuel y Gabriel.
Creo que mi tio Rafael se quedo con el libro ynunca mas pude encontrarlo. Si buscas ese libro en Brasil o mas facil en Barranquilla puedes tratar de desenradar la madeja. Este libro( varios de ellos) los llevo a Sta Mta y Bquilla un abogado brasilero recolectando poderes para representar herederos

Adolfo Anselmo Pinedo and Nercilia Martha Chatlein had 5 childred: Alba, Rosa, Hector, Melba and Ana, mij mother, who married my father, Jacobs Ambrosio Chatlein. (Yes, that's why some Chatleins are cousins of my mother, and only distant relatives of my father) Of those children only Melba (89) is still alive.

According to his civil marriage on January 18, 1911 in Curaçao he was born in Rio Hacha in June of 1874. His parents were Adolf Pinedo and Bicenta Perez.

June 1874, but his mother was Bicenta Perez. Adolfo Anselmo Pinedo got married in Curaçao on January 18, 1911 to Nercilia Martha Chatlein. Gabriel Adolfo, who was born, as you pointed out on September 22,
1878 in Rio Hacha (mother Julia Pinedo)married in Curaçao on April 20th 1920 to the widow of Johannes Manuel Monsanto Weeber, Dominga Quecco, born in Rio Hacha on April 25, 1870. Another daughter of Adolf and Julia was Clarita Tomasa Pinedo, born in Rio Hacha on September 18, 1882. She got married to a brother of the earlier mentioned Weeber, Leonardus Victor Weeber on April 6, 1905 in Curaçao. Julia Pinedo came also to live in Curaçao and died here May 29, 1906. In het death certificate her parents again are given as Elias Pinedo and Anita Henriquez. There are still descendents of the Weeber on the island.

Estoy tratando de conseguir informacion sobre la madrina de mi abuela materna. Su nombre era Constanza Pinedo y bautizo
a mi abuela en la Ciudad de Mayaguez, Puerto Rico en el 1873.
En esta parte de Puerto Rico residian muchas personas de
Curazao. No se si Constanza era de Curazao, pero lo cierto es que el apellido Pinedo no es comun en Puerto Rico. Mi abuela
se llamaba Eduviges Betances y su padrino fue, Juan La Chapel.
Si alguien tiene alguna informacion de alguna de esta gente

La primera referencia de un PINEDO, viene de "Pinedo" población española al lado de Valencia, fueron expulsados por judíos y se radicaron el Holanda de donde pasaron a Curazao de donde también fueron expulsados en varias oportunidades radicándose entonces unos en Coro, Venezuela y otros en Riohacha, Colombia.
Existen varios arboles genealógicos de la familia comenzando con Jacob Pinedo, casado con Sara de Imanuel Alvares Correa

I have only gotten as far back as my Great Grandfather Jesus Pinedo who married Leonor Sandoval. They lived in a place called El Terrero, Zac, Mx. According to my dad, Jesus was an only child. Him and Leonor had 4 kids, Jesus(born 1900), Eliseo, Alfredo, David and Consuelo. My grandfather Jesus lived in Monte Escobedo, La Lagunita, Palo Verde and a few others. Jesus, eventually married Flavia and had my dad Juvenal along with several brothers and sisters.

My name is Chris Pineda and I'm from Austin, Texas. My great-grandfather, Nicanor Pineda cam from Tlaltenango, Zacatecas to Laredo Texas in the late 1920s. I don't really know much about Nicanor Pineda, except that his surname appears as Pinedo in some documents, and his parents are listed as Pedro Pinedo and Pioquinta Cardoza, and Pedro Pinedo may have been born in the early 1850s. I believe that Nicanor Pineda also had a half-brother named Jesus Maria Pineda/o who lived in Torreon. This is all I know based on the Tlaltenango records that I've found.

I'm sending a message because I noticed that you too had a Pedro Pinedo in your family from Zacatecas. Does any of this ring a bell?

My family jumped around coming from Mezquitic, Jalisco and ending up in Villanueva, Jeres and Fresnillo, to Mexicali, B.C.

Hi, my name is Gem Barber, my paternal surname is Pinedo. My father is Roberto Pinedo his family was from Zacatecas, Mexico. His father was Joaquin Pinedo and his mother Elvira Pinedo. He has mentioned his grandfather's name was Juan Pinedo, but his great grandfather's name was Nicolas Pinedo, might not be the same branch? As far as he knows there is two members of the Pinedo line left in that area, one is in Fresnillo his name is Miguel Pinedo Anguiano and Pedro Pinedo he does'nt remember his other surname, in Guadalupe, Zacateas Mexico. We have some family in TX and Califonia, Utah. Some here in TX use the surname Pineda. Hope this helps, or maybe this will help me find my dad's brother his name is Santos Pinedo.

Hola todos, soy María Eugenia Fernández, y vivo en Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Siempre me decía mi abuelo Jose Manuel Pinedo Christoffel,le decían Buchi, hijo de Gabriel Pinedo y María Teresa Christoffel Danies, que los Pinedo vinieron de Holanda, llegaron a Curazao y de ahí pasaron algunos a Riohacha. Mis bisabuelos eran judíos y cuando los hijos conmenzaron a nacer, Gabriel, Elias, mi abuelo, y otros más, se convirtieron al catolisismo porque en Riohacha no habían sinagogas. Mi abuelo se casó con Felicia Lubo Curvelo, y llegaron a vivir a Cartagena porque mi abuelo entró a la Armada. Aquí murieron, pero siempre estuvieron muy ligados a la Guajira. La coincidencia es que casi todos los nombres que usan los Pinedo son de origen judío.

Your father, Fernando Pinedo Nugent, was my first cousin. The last time I saw him was in 1963 at my wedding. Lost track of him...my sister told me she thought he had died in the late 60's. We were trying to find you and your sister, but didn't know your first names or maternal last name. My sister told me she visited your dad back in the 60's and said he had two children. Your dad was also known in the family as "Grumpy".

I don't believe the Pinedo's from the province of Loreto, including Moyobamba, Chachapoyas, Iquitos etc. are Jewish immigrants that settled there during the rubber boom. I have done a lfair amounnt of research on the Pinedos in that region, and all my findings indicate that there were Pinedos in the area in the 1600's and 1700's, long before the rubber boom began. This is corroborated by the paternal y chromosome DNA testing done on a sample I provided (my father and grandfather both from Loreto) which showed an I1b2a* haplotype indicative of Western European, Elbe Germanic origins with no evidence of any Jewish DNA markers.

There may have been Jews who adopted the Pinedo surname in Spain at the time of the "Reconquista" in Spain, some of which immigrated to Holland, but the evidence seem to indicate that the Pinedos in Moyobamba came into the area directly from Spain, most likely from the Castile and Basque areas of Northern Spain, areas that were settled by Visigoths and other nordic groups following the fall of the Roman empire.

Weeber, yo creo que el puede tener alguna relacion con mi famili ya que somo muy pocos Weeber en Barranquilla. Ademas se que a principio del Siglo 20 habia una compañia llama de Pinedo, Weeber & Co asi que debe haber alguna relación. Si tienes mas informacion sobre este documento, sobre el seño J. Hello,

My great great grandfather was named Pedro Pinedo or Pineda. He married Pioquinta Cardoza and at least 1 other woman whose identity I have not yet discovered. Pedro Pineda had 2 children in the late 1800s, Nicanor Pineda and Jesus Maria Pineda who may have different mothers. I know that Nicanor Pineda married twice in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, but because I have not been able to find his birth record or his parents' marriage record in that town, I am beginning to think that Nicanor Pineda and his parents may have been from somewhere else.

I have also found some border crossing records that indicate that Nicanor Pineda's (half) brother, Jesus Maria Pineda, lived in Torreon, Coahuila in the 1920s.

If this information rings a bell with anyone, let me know. Thanks!

I just saw this posting. I wanted to know if you knew anything more about the Pedro Pineda in your family. I recently discovered that my great-great grandfather is named Pedro Pineda, and that he had a son named Nicanor Pineda who lived in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas.

My records actually show that the Pedro Pineda in my family was married to someone else, named Pioquinta ___dosa. I wanted to follow up with you because sometimes people married more than once. Also, the records go back and forth between Pinedo and Pineda.

I'd like to know if you know anything more about your Pedro Pinedo and whether he had anymore children or married anyone else. Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

I have traced my lineage back to a certain Lorenso PINEDO who married Josepha GAMBOA and had at least two children: (Juan) Joseph PINEDO and Antonio PINEDO who were both born circa 1700 in Monte Escobedo and baptized in Jerez, Zacatecas.
