I have no Martin in my Pennegar/Pinnegar line. Here is some of what I have:
From a VA deed "Peter Pennegar/Peter Banninger" From Peter's
will in Stokes Co, NC signed "Peter Pennegar/ Peter Banninger". He was born in Embrach, Zurich, Switzerland June 17, 1733 and died in 1795 wife Mary Magdaline___
Their children were:
Mary born Frederick Co, VA married a __Flincham.
Mathias b c1755 in Frederick Co died in White Co, TN
married Margaret Rendleton(?)
William b c 1760 in FrederickCo d 1813 in Stokes Co, NC
married Elizabeth Zimmerman (my line)
Catherine b c 1764 also married a Flincham
Christine b 1765

Mathias & Margaret's children:
1. If you connect, I have more on Peter' ancestors
in Switz.
Martin Pinegar, Peter Pinegar

I'm reviewing my Pinegar line and I don't have any solid proof that Martin, b.1812 Tn, is the son of Peter Pinegar, b. 1788 NC. They both lived in Highland Twp, Vermillion Co, Indiana in 1850. Martin moved to Marengo Twp, Iowa Co, Iowa in 1855 and Peter moved to Des Moines Twp, Jefferson Co, Iowa in 1855. This proximity is all I have to go on; no data linking the two. Also, isn't it a bit odd that the name Martin doesn't occur in the Peter Pinegar line? Or maybe not. There is a Martin Pinegar that immigrated to Philadelphia, PN in 1739 per Anc.com PN German Pioneers in the card catalog. Does anyone have anything solid?

Hi Monte, I have such a large family that I research like a drunk chicken; pecking who knows where. I was wondering how you know that Peter Pinegar is Martin's father? I don't have anything solid. My data is based on input from other Pinegar trees. Vicki Harden Standing posted that she has Peter Pinegar's will listing his children but I haven't seen anymore about that. I just can't find the time to go to Newton and search their records. I'd appreciate any information you have linking the two. Thank you, Christie

I just started checking through some of my old email to see where I got that info from on Earl's brother. Well it was sent to me by a grand daughter of Elmer's (Earl's brother)! I can also tell you that Elmer had a son named Arkley. So I have sent her a message to see what more she may have for you - hopefully the email address is still good! Additionally she had sent me that photo of Henry and Emma - there is a young girl i the photo, identified as their granddaughter Flossie. Could it be that she was named for her Mother Floria????

Hi! Here is some info that was sent to me - I have not tracked the lines much below Henry (I am descended from his brother Marion) - where do you connect?
Some of the information in the following post is information I already had - The only Child of Henry and Lena named Cora (I have pictures of her also!) was raised by her mothers family and Henry apparently went to Oklahoma where he started his second family. I do not know anything about Earl or who he married but some of the other posters on this thread are part of that end of the family and may know. Also attaching a couple of photos I have that are Henry (Earl's Grandfather)I have some census records also if you would like them. My GGGrandfather Marion Pinegar was a professional photographer so we are extremely fortunate with some of the photos we have as a result!

"Henry did in fact have two wives. The first was Margaret Eveline Dunn, married on 12/23/1866 in Farmington, Ill. Died on 11/02/1870. They had one daughter named Cora Bell born 10/01/1868 in Farmington. She married a Burrell and died 03/15/1954. His second wife was Emma Kays. They were married 1871 in Magnolia, Ill. They had 4 childre: Elmer Elton Pinegar, Jamima Elizabeth, Lou Willie (female) and Avon Andrew. Elmer was also married twice. The first wife was Minnie Rose Almond married 06/17/1893 and divorced in 1899. They had two children: FernPeniger Van Doren, and other child will need to look up. Second wife was Mary Shepherd. They had one child named Earl. Elmer died on 04/24/1904 as the result of an accidental shooting. He was in Quinlan, Ok at the time of his death.
Many of the relatives are buried at the Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony Kansas."
I think James Pinegar was married about 13 Dec 1929.
Helen Sue Ward's mother was a Pitman. The Pitman's lived around Waukomis, Garfield, Oklahoma. My mother was Helen Grace Pitman and in her old scrapbooks and albums are pictures of Helen Sue and her sister, Coleen.
I think in later years some of the relatives lived around Garden City, Kansas and some are buried there but I don't know exactly where and that is what I am trying to find out. Specifically the burial place of Bernice Helen (Pitman) Ward and Marietta Ulm.

You certainly have got me wrong!!
If someone wants any information I hold, they are welcome to it, however I want some idea of who they are and how they are related to my tree.
I have recently had a rather nasty experience where some one not connected has all my tree on theirs! There is a very weak link -a step relation, cousin of a cousin on my in-laws side!!
While I do not object to their putting my name down I objected to that person adding my children and grand children. On that tree I have removed living persons.
My tree is on Ancestry.co.uk.
Now should your Pinnegars come from Oxford/Gloucester I am only too happy to give you access to my tree.
Anne

I guess in my old age that I must be missing something. Taking the point of what you said, makes me wonder. How do you read your crystal ball and know that every bit of information you have about your relatives is pertinent to only your area. You have no clue that some of us, here in the states, may have come from that area. From this point on, I am not going to share with little Johnny because he lives on a different street than me.

Hi Folks
I am very happy to share my information, and yes I have quite a lot, but what is the point of sharing when those with a Pinnegar/Pinnigar, or any other spelling, are from other countries.
My family all come from the Oxfordshire area of the UK.
Show me a connection and I will share, I too have been doing my tree for many years, and agree sharing knowledge helps, I just want proof of whom I am sharing with - not too much to ask is it????
Anne

Please do not take this message as an insult or me trying to be rude, but what is with these people who cannot share information with all of the people on these boards? I briefly came to the Pinegar board and was searching for some info and almost immediately found more people, who say "I will share info, please write" and then post a personal email address. What is wrong with putting all of that information out to the board and see what interest it may cause? When you get older and have been doing genealogy for a long time, you really burn when you find people who feel they just can't share information. Sharing is what drives people to excitement and sometimes opens the eyes to a totally new world of information. I live by the motto, "that little tid-bit of information is someone else's goldmine and helps knock down those brickwalls". So, to those who feel like sitting on info, come on, share it.
