Carolyn, where does your Pinzon line meet with the Pinzons from Virginia. i am stuck on Aaron Pinson Sr with wife Deliah..I can't find his parents in Wales, UK or Spain. Would appreciate the help

The sons I have are: Arias Perez (no info on birth or death)
Juan Martin: no info
Catalina: No info
Diego Martin: no info..

I do not know who Martin Alonso's spouse.

I am not sure these are his children either.

I do know Martin and his 2 brothers were from Palos de la Frontera.

Very little info on the 2 brothers. Were there any daughters ?

The Pinson/Pinzon line goes all over..I'm looking for Aaron Pinsons parents..They either came from the UK, Carribean (Jamaica), or Wales I think. The ones who were shipped to the Carribean, was Ricardo, Roger, Samuel were indentured. I have very little info on them..

I am no that far back but could you give me the names and info on the 4 sons of Martin. I have lots of info, but have not been able to crack Aaron Pinson/Pinzon, the one who CAME to America. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How lucky you are. I'm still looking for the father of Aaron Pinson Sr who possibly came from Wales..Not sure tho.

Most of us in the US are at this same point. I envy you.

I am Lopez Pinzon... and I have been working on the family tree for years.... 7 generations back a man supouse to be a priest married and native indian women his las name was Yanguez....

If anyone has any information on the Pinzon family living in the city of Puerto de Santa Maria near Cadiz in the early 1700s, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I am descended from a branch of that family that immigrated to Mexico in 1757.

My ancestor Captain don Christoval de Paz y Pinzon, born in Puerto de Santa Maria, in 1735. His grandfather was Captain don Christoval Pinzon, "Capn. De Fragata y Mastre Mor. De Arboladura en Cartagena de Levante." Family lore is that he was descended from the Pinzon brothers, but I've never been able to trace it. Any info would be appreciated.

I come from the Alonso side. My mothers family who I grew up with, a big family, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, left Cuba in 1961 due to Castro confiscating their home and belongings. My grandfather is Enrique ALonso, his father is Enrique Alonso Pujol. I'll get more but I am at the mercy of my grandpa here.

You did the right thing by leaving the cruise tour. They're horrible. And no one will ever bother you on the street. Puerto Ricans love mainland Americans. You were totally safe.

(My grandfather went off and wrote lineage on my grandmother. SO I emailed him back and reclarified I was interested at this point only on the Alonso side. He should get back to me shortly, interestingly, I found out that on my grandmothers side of the family, Barcelo, the first mayor of Cuba, after Spain left, was my ancestor! And the vicepresident of Cuba at the turn of the 20th century the same!)

Did you come from Alonzo or one of his brothers? Are your grandparents in Puerto Rico? We were there several years ago and we just loved it. We landed in a cruise ship but took our own tour. We just walked. Everyone told us not to do this but we are not afraid of people so we just wandered. We discovered the butterfly shop and walked from one fort to the other...and thru town. Were not interested in laying around the beaches or gambling. We love travel. After you get back from your wedding I should have a list ready for you if we are the same line. Like I said my line ends with Aaron Pinson from the Carolina Pinsons. My husbands mother was a pinson from West Virginia. Here is the list of Pinson lines I have. Starts with my mother in law: Garnett Pinson, Daniel Leslie Pinson, Daniel Pinson, John Jacob Pinson, John Pinson, Thomas Pinson, Aaron Pinson Jr, Aaron Pinson Sr.

Aaron Sr. was born about 1698-1715....

I have all of there families to.

Samuel is the name of my first ancestor in Jamestown on mypaternal side. Thankfully, on the non-ALonso paternal side we can trace it back to 1066 in England. (My ancestors kept a geneology book.)

This website just assumed that was my name. My name is William and I speak perfect spanish. So yes, it would be a pleasure to help you.

I have to speak with my grandparents to get you the names as far back as I can go. I can take it from Cuba back to Spain and France. By Monday if not sooner I will give you a list of names in chronological order and we'll see were we meet. It is very interesting that the Alonso name was up in the U.S. so long ago.

Samuel: how lucky you are to be able to trace your line back to Alonzo. All of us in America have not been able to get past Aaron Pinzon. We are all tracing this line because ours came from Spain to France to ENgland to the US. Possibly even Wales. I have the line from Aaron back to my husband. If I can help I would. CAn you tie into the Aaron or John or John Jacob or Thomas...I know that Alonzo and his brothers, Francisco and Vicenzo would probably have ancestors in Cuba, and the Caribbean islands as they landed there and traveled the island. I have a hugh excerpts but they are all in spanish and I only speak English. Do you speak Spanish? After your marriage if you speak Spanish maybe you can look at my spanish stuff and maybe it could help you and me. What do you think.

About 5 years ago, I was in contact with a family in Puerto Rico that was tied to the Pinzon's. I have to think what there last name was as Alonso was the the name.

Hi to all. My name is William Stowell-Alonso, I am half Cuban and raised in Puerto Rico. About a decade ago, my uncle said he connected our lineage to the Alonso Pinzon brothers. On my maternal side my origins are from Cuba dating more than 100 years and then from Spain and France. I can date it back perhaps 150 years from the present.

If you are interested, as I am, I would like to trace this. I am getting married in a few months and would like to see if there is a connection. Any help?

Pierre, have you tied the line of Martin Alonso Pinson to the Pinson's in the US. I am going to Palos, Spain next year but I don't think they will have much there, even if thats where they lived. I am trying to ties them into the American line. I have the American line from the 1700's to today but I can't seem to get them out of the U.S.

Can you help?

Pinçon (c with a cédilla) is the same with Pinzon and I am writing a book about my ancestor Martin Alonso Pinzon.

My mothers mother was named Pinzon and is Spanish from the Philippines. Her familly also claims ancestry to the Pinzon Brothers.

I am a descendant of Federico Pinzon (from Spain) who is a descendant of the famed Pinzon brothers. We just had our first reunion of the Pinzons in the Philippines. WE have traced our ancesstry back to Federico Pinzon but could not go back any further. Any information you have on the family tree of the b rothers would be highly appreciated.

En mi familia también han habido personas de apellidos Méndez y Pinzón. Te sugiero que busques en los archivos microfilmados en los Centros de Historia Familiar de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Ultimos Días (Mormones) ya que allí suelen tener microfilmados los registros civiles y eclesiásticos de los diferentes pueblos en diferentes países.
