Hi I am Plascencia my father he was born in the area called Ixtlauacan Del Rio Jalisco. I do not know the origins of the last name all i know is that in that area there are alot of Plascencias. My Two aunts married Plascencias and they are not related in any way. I Wa born in Guadalajara but now live in fresno ,ca

Esmeralda my grandpa (Pedro Plascencia) is 89 years old and still living. He married my grandma, Catalina Rivas de Plascencia. My granfather never left Mexico. He has lived all his life in Jalisco.
If you think it is the same one please provide more details.

Anna I think it is another Pedro Plascencia. My grandpa (Pedro Plascencia) is 89 years old still living and married my grandma, Catalina Rivas de Plascencia. But something that caught my eye is that my grandpa's former last name was Rubalcava. As his father changed it to Plascencia as a form of protection during the revolutionary war.

i'm thinking that your grandfather, Pedro Plascencia, might be my mom's brother. My grandmother was name Tomasa and Pedro was the only son. My mother is in her early 60's but she was one of many sisters. Her brother left Mexico at a very young age. The places that you name on this thread are familiar to the stories my mother tells us. I hope that you still have access to your same contact information.

Heya everyone...I really haven't checked this site in such a long time. I posted a message about 9 years ago. I was adopted from Jalisco, Huentitan el Alto...by Guadalajara. My birth mother is Maria De Jesus Esparza Plascencia. I am 28 years old now. Once again my interest is sparked, especially after reading some of these messages about the "Plascencias of Jalisco". If we are talking about the same Pedro Plascencia. He is my great grandfather. Pedro's son, Juan Rubalcava, is my grandfather. Pedro married Francisca Uyoa. They had the following children: From oldest to youngest (Juan, Guadalupe, Juana, Francisco, Chila, and Jesus).

May name is Anna Becky Plascencia, my family tree is now composed of eight generations, resulting in 427 family members. Please tell me your name. You are problably included in it.

Hello all Plascencias out there! I came across this message board as I was researching my ancestory. I am from California and am a Plascencia, but when my father bacame a citizen his last name was misspelled as Plasencia. My father was born in a small rancho named El Zapote, but was then relocated to Guadalajara as a child. We have family all over Guadalajara including Tlaquepaque, Zapopan, and Magdalena. my grandmother was san julian, jalisco. my mother was from san julian, jalisco. my grandmother's name was Agapita Plascencia, daughter of Eufemio and Elidia Plascencia. My greatgrandmother's name was misspelled on my mother's birth certificate. My grandmother's brother designed the bell tower at the catholic church in San Julian in the main plaza. he died while building a tower in san julian. he fell off.

Hi I found out from my dad that my grandfather, Trinidad Loza had half-brothers and sisters but he had the Loza sur name and his mother was a Plascencia.
My Grandma, Rita Loza was a Marquez/Ramirez. Both are from the San Miguel el alto area.They moved to Losangeles in the 1920's.
Maybe you might have relatives that know the family's

Las Animas De Romero Municipio de Istlahucan Del Rio. They radicated to Guadalajara Jal where my dad was born.
