Thanks, Ellen!
All the vital statistics I have are as follows:

b Ireland, possibly Galway circa 1936 (His death certificate says that he was 64 when he died in 1900

m. Mary Kerrigan, Gold Hill, Storey Co, Nevada in Oct 18,1868

Had 4 children, all born in Storey County (Gold Hill, I believe, but don't know for sure yet) children were Mary (b. 1870, d. 1873) William, John Peter, and Joseph.

d. Feb 7, 1900 Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co., CA

I believe he was a miner in Calaveras Co, CA in the early 1860's, and I think he was in Storey Co for a few years before getting married.

Hope this helps!
Loralee
Hello Beth,
Happened to come across your message regarding Plover history. I'm just starting out on my research of family histories. I am a Plover by marriage. My husband's name is Francis (Frank). His father's name was Timothy Joseph Plover who was born in 1909. His parents were Timothy Joseph Plover and Bridget Durkin. Do those names sound familiar to you?
Rose

I am searching for information on a James Plover/Plaver of Philadelphia. I do think the name is Plover though. He was a sponsor to my aunt's baptism in 1934 at a catholic church in Phila. I have found Plover's living in the 38 district of Phila where my people were from. My people were McNulty's and Stephenson. Searching for any clues, pictures, etc of my McNulty people. Thanks much if you can help. Michelle

Hi Mairead,

I have been speaking with Steve Nunn on and off for the past 8 years trying to work out where we all fit in! I don;t get much time to investigate as i have a young family but i wondered of you had some info that may fill in some blanks?

Here is what i have:
John J Plover married an Annie Donlan from Wales. Although I don't have dates of birth, I do have dates of burial with ages. John J was buried in October 1937 aged 69, so he was born about 1868 and Annie was buried in December 1943 aged 65 so she was born about l878.

I believe my grandfather, Lawrence (who i think was one of 8), son of the above John J visited the home of his parents in Carracastle, Castleduff in the mid l950's and visited his uncle Patrick Plover of Castleduff, which suggests that John J had brothers, again I've made enquiries about this, and his cousin Patrick Frain of the same address.

Thanks in advance
Gemma Batterley (nee Plover)

Hello,

Thank you for your response. My great grandfather's name was Patrick Plover. He married Mary here in Philadelphia. They had 6 kids I think. One of which was my grandfather, Francis Michael Plover, Sr. What else could you tell me about the Plover genealogy? I have wanted to travel to Ireland for quite some time now and am interested in searching for family members there.
