I am researching Kathryn Price Vye who was the third wife of Adam Vye. I am interested in exchanging information about Kathryn's grandparents, parents and siblings. From my research to date, it appears Kathryn's parents are John H. Price and Kathryn Hughes who came from Wales sometime between 1845 and 1847 and moved to Minnesota sometime before 1870. Their oldest two children were born in Wales and their younger four children were born in (Dodgeville?), Wisconsin.

Kathryn's siblings include:

Edward V. (b. 1841 Wales);
Grace H. (b. 1844 Wales);
John W. (b. 1847 Wisconsin);
Mary b. (1848 Wisconsin);
Evan J. b. (1851 Wisconsin);
Margaret J. (b. 1853 Wisconsin); and
David J. (b. 1855 Wisconsin).

My husband, John is a direct descendant of Kathryn Price Vye and Adam Vye through his grandmother Kathryn (aka Katie) Louise Vye who was Adam's 3rd and final wife.

Leslie was born September 8, 1930 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Ernest L. and Ella Lee (Embry) Price.

He was employed by Derr Road Inn and was a past Master Mason and member of Akbar Temple # 41.

His memory will be cherished by his two daughters, Giovonna R. Price and Leslie T. Price-Orr; sister, Hazel Dillard and a host of other relatives and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Medrith C. Price and sister, Ernestine Price-Harring.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in Trydestone Missionary Baptist Church until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Ohio. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

Hey Bob, You're right Wm.E WAS your grandfather and he DID marry MaryEtta McCracken and they had: Otto H., Cecil McKinley, John Elmer, Bessie May, Thomas Lester and Cleophus Arley Jane Price. I was researching Wm.E's father William F. Price b.Jun 1832 in Morgan Co., IL and d. 1914 in Barr Twnshp, Daviess Co., IN. I have since found that he married Louisa Gamble on 29 Jul 1857 in Knox Co., IN and they had as best I can find four children: John Emory, Mary Elizabeth, William Elmer and Sarah Florance Price. Louisa was b. 1840 in Knox Co. and d. 20 Feb 1899 in Daviess Co., IN. Her parents were Lorenzo and Lucinda (Wilmore) Gamble. It is William F.'s parents and siblings I am searching for. I believe his father was a Henry Price born in 1790 in Rockingham Co., VA but I cannot be sure. Ken

Not sure I have come across that branch yet, but my Price side came up the trail of tears with the Berry family. she married Redic L. Price. they moved to Louis. and to Arkansas. had 14 children and also lived in Oklahoma. Martha was full blood Cherokee and adopted off the trail of tears by the Berry Family. any info would be helpful!

not really sure if is the same price family but my Dads side is named price. they came up the trail of tears with the Berry Family. They had an adopted daughter from that trail, she was full blood Cherokee. Martha Sola Berry/ Price. I am trying to connect her name to her Cherokee tribe. Most of the Prices on my side came to Arkansas out of North Carolina went to Arkansas and traveled the trail of tears to Arkansas. Her father George Berry and the family lived in Louis. for several years before going to Arkansas. we r probably connected somewhere along the line but not sure where yest.

hannah had a brother amos b1845 melton mowbray.married mary barber bin leicestershire their son edwin b1880 melton m married mary price b1883 llanvihangel. her father henry price b1861 in bridgwater

alices relatives say there is a bridgwater connection with the other line in their family.

it seems to me there is a missing link, perhaps between the leicester chapmans and the price of bridgwater earlier than edwins marriage to mary. does anyone have that link in their tree?

sorry this seems complicated but I have found even more unlikely price links in america, so it can happen.

Looking for ANY information for my grandfather Frederick James Patterson Price (as noted on his marriage certificate with his sister Amy Maud Price as one of the witnesses) to Ellen (Nellie) Shaw in Feb 1913. I believe him to be the same as James Patterson Price of the Woolaston, Glouc. family with father Timothy, mother Hannah, brother Rufus Charles, another sister Ada Mary. I know this is an old post. I am a part of this blood line. Basil had an older brother named Chester who married Elizabeth Raines. They had a son, Robert R. Price, who had two sons, Lance and David Price.

I am seeking information for a Pringle Price (my grandfather) who lived in Johnson/Emanuel County, GA. B:20 Apr 1884 D:2 Aug 1968. He married Trudie Mathis, B:11 Oct 1890 D:15 Aug 1968, the daughter of Charles Gibson Mathis, AKA "Doc Grandpa" & Clarisa (Claricy) Page, AKA "Grandma DOC." Pringle & Trudie had 12 children: Charles Arthur (C.A.), Harrison, Doyce, Lula Mae, Infant son & Infant daughter, Crawford L., Troy, Carlton, Pringle Jr., Sharkey (Roundtree), Joey. I have not been able to find a birth record for him or a marriage license for him & Trudie. I have no information about his parents or if he had any siblings. I did find a 1910 census showing a Pringle Price living in Pullens/Johnson County with a family named McIntosh. He was listed as being a bachelor. I have also found his WWI draft registration card and it was signed 12 Sept 1918 and it showed his employer as M J or M T Rhiner working as a farm laborer in Meeks County. I have been told that he might have been an orphan. If that is the case where do I go to for help in searching for his parents? I have attached the only picture I have of my grandparents, Pringle & Trudie. Not sure when it was taken. Any information or help locating Pringle's family would be greatly appreciated.
