Primas in Louisiana

I am a descendant of Bradford Primas, born 1865 in LA. who was African American. He married Mollie Primas, and Annie Primas is their daughter, my great great grandmother. Does anyone know anything about Bradford (born 1865, Louisiana) or Mollie Primas (born 1873, Louisiana)

Primas name

I don't have any info on the lady you seek. I have seen references to "Primas" as a first name for the first born slaves in the colonies and states. I have also seen a message board, but can't remember where, in which all the listings were Hispanic/Latin origin with the name "Primas". Our family is German, so it didn't help me much. There seemed to be a lot of Primas' in New Orleans area. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Primas Petrick connection

Looking for info on Benjamin Petrick. He was a witness to my g-grandfather's (Paul Primas) naturalization intent in Chicago in 1890 and was naturalized on the same day as Paul in Dunn County WI in Sep 1896. Suzanna Petrick was Paul's grandmother, so I am assuming (hoping) that Benjamin is related.
