My grandfather's cousin was Seneca Primley and he died in Indiana about 45 years ago. He had a couuple daughters and named at least one of them "Capitola" as I recall. It was said to be an Indian name. HIS MOTHER WAS MY GREATGRANDFATHER'S sister. Any mention of his heiritage was unheard of when I was young (Born 1934). I always assumed it was so because he was born about 15 years after the Indians in the Sandusky Ohio were shipped west. He probably was a "breed" and thus escaped the forced move to a reservation! How things have changed!! In recent years I have listed myself as Native American on the census. I would like to hear from you. I have an old photograph of a Primley Reunion in Indiana c 1935 and it is obvious some are American Indians. I assume they were Seneca Cauhoga since my grandfather's cousin and his father were named "Seneca" - a common practice among them.
Hope to hear from you1
