On the family tree I received from a relative in Italy all it says is Femmina Sposata(means married to???) Giorgi.

I was told by a cousin that the first Pro to leave Spain and settle in Ferentino was Gregorio Pro but they are not positive of the first name.

My grandmother's maidet name was Pro, she and her father came to the US first. They were from Supino first and the rest of the family members came later. I never knew my great grandmother, and can't remember her name. My great grand father was Archangelo Pro. The other two children came
later, Fernanda and Aldo Pro. I'm guessing they came with my great grandmother. My dad passed in the 70's (Nello Corsi) his dad was from Sgurgola, and was ten yrs older than my grandmother (Pro). There are not many people living who can remember, maybe my mom who has altheimers. This is so interesting however to research. I will send more info when I get it.

I just remembered my great grandfather was Archangelo Pro, he came over with my grandmother Marietta Pro (his daughter) from Supoino Italy through Ellis Island in the early 1900's. The rest of the family came later.

My maiden name is Corsi. My grandmother's maiden name is Pro. She has passed but she has a niece in Buffalo named Antoinette, her parents were Aldo and Loretta Pro, both have passed. I am wondering if this is the same Antoinette. Our family is so small and we have very few living members on the Italian side. Please let me know if there is a connection. I can't remember Antoinette's husbands name but can find out.

My father was born in Supino, Italy. His name was Elio Pro and my grandfather's name was Manfredo Pro. I still have an aunt in Supino named Malena and I also have an aunt in Buffalo, NY named Antoinette. I would love to know more information about my family, the PRO family. I know there are more Pro's in the United States, but I always wondered if the name was shortened or not. My last name was not shortened when my father came to America and now my family name rests upon my son and future son's to pass along.

I don't know where Louis lived in Italy but his widow and children were born in Traversello (not sure of the spelling) and lived in Torino. They all departed from the port of Havre when they emmigrated in the very early 1900's.

I, too, am researching the PRO family from Italy. The ancestor I have information on is Louis Pro. I believe he was born in France but he lived in Italy and his wife (Mary or Maria) was Italian. Mary Pro immigrated to the US in 1911 and was listed on the ship's manifest as a widow. If there's any chance our Pro lines are connected, I'd love to share information with you.

Frances
