You may have already found what you need but in case you haven't, Rennie's father was James Joseph Probus. I would like to trade more information with you. I'm related to Rennie's mother Rosie Jane Miller Probus. I know the names of the parents of James Joseph and I can put you in contact with someone that probably has a lot more.
Donald Miller

I have a wonderful book that is for the Provis line. It seems that Probus was an alternate spelling during the 1700's in Cornwall, England. Specifically I see Alexander Probus and his son William Probus. What is odd is that two generations above and all below use the Provis spelling.... Still, if this is helpful to anyone searching the Probus line, let me know. Also, noted in this book I'm looking at - there is a town called Probus in Cornwall.
Becky Gushwa

I don't have any info on that family, but I'll search the census records for you if you know where your Grandma and Grandpa were from. As you know yourself, a lot of times the people we know weren't born where their parents were.
Hi,
I would love to have any/all info you have on the Probus family. My grandmother, Martha Ellen Probus m Bluford J Taylor, Leitchfield, KY. My mother was raised in IL and would not talk about her family in KY. I have found out that Martha's father was James Probus m 3 x's (1) Martha Gore, (2) Martha "Patsy" Burnett, & (3) Ruth Ellen Sapp. James' father was Alexander Probus m to Mary Pryor. None of this is verified just some hand written notes from a deceased Uncle.
Please let me hear from you.
Wilma Jeanne Simms

Hello,

My name is Damian Probus. I am also trying to find info about my family. My father was Ronald C Probus and his family was from Leitchfield, Kentucky. I would love to know more information about them if anyone could help with something beyond that. Apparently the family did not keep in touch all that well. Thanks for your help.

The only information I have is a Myrtle Elizabeth Probus who was my grandmother which married Joseph Francis Kost. Her father was John Probus and mother was Eda Elizabeth but had no maiden name for her mother or any dates for these two as to when they were born or where they were from. As it looks I have no information on my grandmother as to when she was born I will have to check with my father. He is an adoptive child to these two and has no brothers and sisters. Would really care for any info you can give.
