PUE's in Philadelphia

I am trying to find more info on a William Pue born abt 1793 - died 1865 (wife Sarah and two sons Thomas & Charles) Philadelphia County Pennsylvania. The earliest record I have for him is an Army draft from 1819-1820. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello - I would like to continue my work on the family history, and this is a start. My search has taken me back to PUE'S OCCURRENCES, which was one of the first newspapers in Ireland.

My father was Wilbur Pue, who was born in Chicago in 1925. My grandfather was Alex Pue (Frances Rehill). His father was William Pue (Sarah Kelso). His father was also William Pue...they are buried in the cemetery in Annalong.

Are there any long lost relatives out there? Please email me!

I don't know how to use the familymaker.8 either but I do plan to get one. I am from Maryland where the Pues originated from. Arthur Pue would be a cousin some generations back. Ellen and Ferdinand would be my GGrandparents.

I have just found out through in formation from a Ms. C. H. that my grandaughter is a desendant of Arthur Pue, the member or Terry's Texas Rangers and buried in Bandera 1880.I have read some of this thread and I am very interested in getting information on the Pue - Dorsey family of Maryland. My granddaughter is from A Pue's family via Clarance and Marinda Pue and the Elsworths. I live in Houston. I have Family Treemaker 8 and I don't have a clue how to use it. If you send me something I will find out how to access it.

i have just started working on the pue/dorsey line. i have started with j.a.ventress pue born 1841 in md. he married jennie logan carpenter in 1882. i think his parents are dr. arthur pue and sally dorsey. is this your line also. any info would be great. thanks in advance. jean

All I have is that Mary was first wife of John stafford Perrin and they lived in Canada.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on my ggggrandmother, ANN (or anne or anna) PUE. She possibly lived in the Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia area. She married a Wilson and had a daughter named Thestle Gladys Wilson who married a Ernest N. Davis. (These are my gggrandparents) Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My family is from Lakefield, Ontario - just ouside of Peterbourgh. My dad's name is the same as mine and my grandfathers name was Judson Pue. My aunt in Ontario - Brenda Pue has done alot of work on the "family tree" and if you are interested I could get you her email address.

I am the niece of Johnnie Alberta Brooks Pue, wife of Isaac Samuel Pue (1878-1955), who was the youngest child of Samuel Brown Pue and his wife Lucy Amos Dollahite. I saw your messages on this forum to my cousin Jim Snyder. Sorry to have to tell you that Jim (who was the grandson of Johnnie Alberta Brooks and Isaac Samuel Pue) passed away last March. I've written to his son to see if he is interested in pursuing the family history.

Family of Hampton, I'd be very intersted in your relationship to Ridgely Pue. He was ill and in his nineties several years ago when I tried to contact him. I'm not sure how he descents from Dr. Michael Pue who married Mary Dorsey, but know he had several lines of descent to the Ridgely's

I am researching my family tree. My grandmother's maiden name was Pugh, so far I have traced the family back to a John Pue (changed to Pugh), he came to the united states from Dublin, Ireland in the mid 1700's, where he was the mayor. He immigrated to the United States and settled in what is now Grayson County, the Volney area of Little Wilson Creek but was known then as the Botetourt District. I do not know who he married but he did have a large family of which one son was samuel. Samuel had a son named David, who I believe had two wifes, Sarah Greer and Nancy Minton. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would appreciate any information you could give me.

My name is Stacie Pugh I think you are talking about my husbands family. I have a book that one of my husbands family made on the Pugh family. I looked thru the book and I can't find out who his wife was. All I found was that his son Samuel had a son named David, and he named one of his sons Samuel who was born August 9,1799. Then in 1827 Sam married Clementine Wells "Clemmie" was the daughter of John & Temperence Wells. Sam & Clemmie had a son August 3,1829 and named him Mastin Alexander Pugh.
(which is my husbands gr-gr-grandfather) And on March 13, 1856 Mastin married AlmaRinda Young her parents were Jessie & Marion "Mazy" McMillan, Mazy's parents were Andrew & Jane "Jennie" Fields. I hope this helps you If you want more info. I would glad to help you.
