Sorry, Matilda came to Canada and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She married Hugh Cameron in Ontario.

Hello I am trying to find the Birth Record for Samuel Punter (could be Samuel J C Punter as stated on his father's death certificate) born abt 1852 in the Hackney/Stoke Newington, London area.

His father was Samuel Wright Punter and his mother was Elizabeth Hale Punter - nee Clarke, there were three other children in the family that I know of - Henry Punter b1854, Frederick Punter b1856 & Elizabeth Punter b1858, I have searched and searched for Samuel's birth record to no avail does anyone out there have this family in thier tree or can offer me some help, many thanks regards Jeanette

Peter Punter married Anne Goodchild 1904. Had four Children Lronard .Dora Connie and Gladys. Leonard came to Canada when he was 15 . Peter Punter died 1917 in the trenches in ww1. Anne lived in London till he death 1972 on Camdon Road. My grandad Leonard lived in Prince Albert Saskatchewan till his passing 1994. I was told that Peter twin sister Hannah married a Brown and live in Canada

Matilda Punter on her marriage certificate to Hugh Cameron 1913 in Ontario says she is a widow. So I presume she had married a Punter in England and then left and came to Canada. Do you have history on Matilda?

I've only just started reserching the family, but as soon as i have George and Esters birth certificates and marriage certificated i'd be happy to share them with you.

My father had mentioned that grandma had a sister called Kate, but i will get some more information from him.

Emma, I have not gone further, I have a few trees on the go. George and Ester are parents of a Kate who was born in 1900. Do you have a copy of their marriage certificate? Has Kate popped up in your research?, Just by their names, I'd be certain that we are related. How exciting!

Your gt grandfather appears likely to be the Francis PUNTER who appears to be on the 1901aged 43 and living in Bristol working as a 'masoner'. [26 PUNTERS listed in Bristol in 1901]

However, there is a 12 year old Francis PUNTER born and living in East Barnet, Herts ...he would have been only about 17 when Sylvia was born so it seems unlikely?

Many thanks. Im not sure how I will go about proving it at this stage as I cannot find the birth registration for my grandmother Sylvia Frances PUNTER or where she was born.
A search of Births has not revealed her and I have conflicting ages for her.

Check out the 1901 online census index there were 2 Arthur's born and living in Luton...one was 13 and one was 15 in that year...

Also, check out the online free BMD index [very early in the morning is best as it gets busy] and when you find him you can order his birth cert...his marriage cert or death cert should tell you his age so you can work out when he was born....but its best just to put in his name and see what it turns up.

Hello, I am searching for Punters in Luton, Bedfordshire.
My great grandfather Arthur Punter was born in Luton, Bedfordshire. Arthur married Ruby Waller in the 1930's and had a daughter. He died in the 1970's in Luton and he is buried there. I don't know the names of his parents, but he had a brother called Joe and a sister called Phyllis.

My grandmother - Sylvia Frances PUNTER was born circa 1906. Her father was listed on her marriage as Francis Punter businessman (Deceased). Her birth registration cannot be found in the records nor her father. She died in 1935 and so little else is known about her. She met my Grandfather when he was in the army at Aldershot, Hampshire.

His second wife had a son named Bernard. My mother's last information about her step-mother was that she moved back to Puerto Rico with her son.
