One of my fathers brothers was named Gilbert, never heard of a Frank though. He had several other brothers as well by the name of Ramon, Henry, and Ernie as well as a sister named Velia. Never heard of any of them living in Texas either or Burbank.

Sorry but it doesn't sound like a match. I wish you luck in your search though.

Ron,

I noticed your reply to the woman who is trying to locate her family. I too am a Quesada and never knew my fathers side of the family. All I know is my fathers name is Gilbert and maybe had a brother by the name of Frank. They lived in Cucamonga, Ca. I think he had 2 sisters as well and they might have orinally lived in Texas, and then moved to Burbank and then Cucamonga. Any of this sound like anyone on your side?

Thanks,

Cindy

1930 census Riverside Co. Ca.

surname Quesada, Domacia 18, Martina 17, Paula 15, Josefa 10 , all step-daughters to head of household. Ventura 63, father-in-law to head of household. I know this is my mother-in-laws family but I am confused as the relationships aren't as I understood them to be. My understanding was that my mother-in-laws mothers, Juana, maiden name was Quesada BUT these are Juana's children. Her first marriage is listed as at age 15. I would imagine her first marriage was to Quesada and her maiden name is something else. Then is Ventura actually her father and his surname not listed in the census OR is he actually her father-in-law from her previous marriage.
Hope someone has the answer

Looking for Raymond Quesada

Hello,
My name is Kathy and I am looking for my biological father. His name is Raymond Quesada. He would have lived in Al Hambra, California in 1970. I'm not sure of his age. I never knew him. I was the result of two married people having an affair. He was married to Rae Jean Quesada but she is not my mother. My mother's name was Wanda Knapp. I am 35 years old and have wondered most of my life what my father was like. I have been told he had three more daughters, one with Rae Jean and I'm not sure of the mothers of the other two. If anyone knows Raymond, or his daughters I would appreciate so much to hear from you. I'm not trying to get anything from him. I would mostly like to have some medical history, but it would be lovely to see a photograph of him now, and to know what he looked like in 1970. My mother says he was handsome. It would be great to have a relationship with him or my sisters, but I won't force myself on anyone. Just a picture of him would fill an incredible void and because I don't look a whole lot like my mother, I would have a sense of who and where I came from. Please email me. Thank You.

hola alberto!

i'm sorry i hope you don't mind but i write much better in english. i haven't found out a lot about the origin of my surname. all i know is that it comes from Spain. i, also, read in a book that the Quesada people came from a small town near the city of Cordova in Spain. another interesting fact is that the name for money in Nicaragua (where my family is from) is Cordova. so, you are in Spain? i would love to visit that country one day! adios!
Yazmin Quesada

I poste around two years ago, requesting any info. on maybe distant relatives. I know alot of Quesadas tend to be in Cuba and Spain, but mine are from PR. Of course all originated from Spain, but I'm looking for possible relatives who live in the Philadelphia area. All I know is that my father is like the only Quesada I know really, besides my mom and sister and brother of course, :) My grandfather's name is Concepcion, and he lives in Guayanilla, P.R. My father's mother's last name is Luciano. But she was a hoochie and had him out an affair with my grandpop, he is the only one considered a half brother to everyone else, because he was basically the outcast. Tell you more, if you contact me: corvetti1@hotmail.com

Saludos.
Myra (Quesada) Hardwick

Re: Quesada Relatives

Well....
Originally all Quesadas came from a family in Jaen, Andalusia (the region of Southern Spain). There are Quesadas scattered throughout Andalusia, as well as Murcia and lower New Castile (Castilla la Nueva). If i remember correctly, the family dates back to medieval times and fought in the Reconquest to take Spain back fromt he Moors.
I searched in another directory for the EMAILS of people with this last name and most of the people were either from Costa Rica, Spain, or Cuba...which means that most of the Quesadas are concentrated in either Spain or countries like Costa Rica and Cuba where the majority of the people are of pure Spanish descent (even thoguh under Castro the population has become increasingly African, in part due to Haitian migration and the MASS diaspora of white Cubans to places like Miami, NJ, Puerto Rico, Spain, Italy, and Australia).
If you're looking for general information and origins of your surnames then here's a good site:
http://tiempolibre.ciudadfutura.com/apellidos/
GOOD LUCK!
