I don't know much more than the information you had posted about the Quiens, but I do know that Catherine/Katherine Quien's maiden name was Lineler/Linelier, and that for a time Catherine and George Quien had been in le Havre, France. Where one of their sons had died.

I have also noticed that on a lot of official records, such as censuses in particular, that the family name is mispelled as 'Quinn'

I have Quien family. They settled in CT (Danbury)- Henry. He served in the Civil War and had 5 brothers and two sisters. His father's name was George - mother Catherine. Both born in Germany. George and sons were both born in Wolfersheim, GR. Came here around 1849. Don't know anything beyond George and Mary although I am certain they had brothers and sisters.

I have no information on Mary Quien, but the Quien name is in my family.We are here in New Jersey. My Great Grandmother married a George Jacob Quien, they married in New York. They had 2sons George & Henry & my Grandmother Annie Horstmann Quien from a 1rst marriage,her father died.
They had a bar & banquet hall. That's all that I know about them. There were more to George Jacobs family but I do not know them.

Mary Quien

Mary was my g g grandmother married to William White.
Probable location was Michigan [Detroit]. She was the daughter of George Quien and Mary Collins. I know no dates of significance. Her son [my grandfather] was born in Detroit: Henry William White.

Any info would be appreciated.
