Looking for information on Henry Quiller b 1853 in MO and Ada or Ida Luken Quiller b 1859 in Germany. They had 3 children Frederick b 1879, Minne and Helen. Henry's father was Frederick Quiller b abt 1814 in Germany. Henry's mother is Wilhmina b abt 1824 in Germany. Any information on this family would be appreciated.

Alice, Thanks for that. I am not sure what a gedcom file is but if it helps all the better!. I am still confused though as I have always been led to believe that my immediate generations all came from the Lostwithiel/St. Blazey area of Cornwall but still that is not very far away from Liskeard.

I posted this message yesterday, but as it doesn't appear today I'm posting it again. Apologies if I'm repeating myself.

I gather you are descended from Richard Quiller who married Susanna Rowet in 1819. He was the brother of my ancestor Elizabeth Q who married Richard Barrett. They were the children of William Q and Philippa Toms, m 1785. William Q bp 1765 was the son of John Q and Jane Libby m 1763. John Q bp 1741 was the son of Richard Q and Jane Pollard m 1727. Richard Q bp 1704/5 was the son of Robert and Mary Q. I believe Robert and his brother Peter came to Polperro from Liskeard after Robert's marriage and were the sons of William Q and Thomasine Innes m 1655 in Liskeard. William Q was the son of John Q and Dorcas Webb m 1614 in St Pinnock, John of Liskeard. I don't have the baptism but William mentions his mother Dorcas in his will in 1679. There is an earlier John Q in Liskeard but I haven't connected him in.

Of course I could be wrong at any point. I can give more details of any bits you want. I have been collecting Quillers as I go along, trying to add to the jigsaw. Would you like a gedcom file?

I have traced all the Polperro Quiller's back to Liskeard, descending from John Quiller and his wife Dorcas Webb who married in St Pinnock in 1614. As this is before the Hugoenots came over from France I believe the French connection to be a myth. I can provide details if you like. I've got lots of info on Rowetts too.

This has put the cat among the pigeons, this is the first we have heard of any Quillers prior to the 'French invasion'. I would be grateful for any info you have on the Quiller side. Your surname has also reminded me of friends of my late mother who resided in Saltash, Cornwall - are you from that area ?

about my Granddaddy. Who was George Washington Quiller.I know that he came from Ga. on the Nc line. When he was a little boy.His mother came alone with some friend to Ala. I think that was in the 1900 not sure of the time. Don't know my Great grandmother name.

Hi my name is Jamese Quiller and I am from Jacksonville, Florida. Their are a couple of Quiller's here in Jacsonville. The oldest one I know is deceased mand his name is Johnny Quiller he died playing rushin roulet. I am doing a geaneology for my class and I need some information. If you have any please let me know. Apologies for late reply. We have no idea which side our descendants are, we are still trying to find any link to Polperro as our research ends at the Lostwithiel/St. Blazey area of Cornwall. Also we have another problem in that one of the descendants was called Wenworth-Quiller which has led us to another line of research but still a blank and still nothing to link this with Polperro

I'd be interested to know which line you are descended from (the Holten side?) and, yes, Susanna and Richard's descendency would interest me too. I have a fairly "bushy" family tree but of course there is a lot missing. I am descended from Thomas Rowett (a son of Richard, and Ann Polgreen) and Philippa Quiller (1786-1852). I have a lot on the Rowetts but very little on the Quillers.

Sue, here I am again, this time on the Quiller message board and not the Rowett board! It is quite clear that we have many things in common, I should like to compare information if this is OK with you.
Stephen, I'm very interested in what say about the Quillers coming over from France. Do you know any more? My ancestor Thomas Rowett, son of Richard Rowett and Ann Polgreen, married Philippa Quiller (b 25 March 1786 d 15 January 1852), who was the daughter of a William Quiller. The Rowetts/Quillers from were Polperro & Talland, Cornwall. Susanna Rowett, daughter of Thomas's elder brother Charles Rowett (m Martha Guy), married a Richard Quiller but I don't know any more about their descendants.

old Tyler or Liddil family photo album, for
Hazel Quiller. I'm very curious as to who she
was since I haven't seen that name before.
She died in March of 1892 at the age of three

www.familysearch.com/ for Quiller you will find reference to Maria and Elizaberth and
F.H.W. plus a lot more about us. It seems their are two lines of Quiller's the Germans and the Cornish. Hope this helps.

my ggg grandfather married maria quiller on 18 mar 1844 in auglaize county ohio ,new knoxville , to be exact .maria was born in ladbergen germany in 1813,no day or month.my ggg grandfather was f.h.w. kuckhermann also born in germany.maria also had a sister named elizabeth.all i have on her father is the last name of quiller born about 1779, nothing on mother.i hope this helps....kiefer

My families last name is quiller I can't seem to find any information on any of my ancestors. My grandfather's name to the best of my knowledge was Jesse Quiller, he served in the civil war. He married my grandmother Mary Saunders-Quiller around the early 1900's . They had 10 children, they lived in north and south carolina. Any information would be greatly appreciated for a upcoming family reunion in Raleigh, NC
