Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home, 2930 Colonial Drive, is in charge of the service. Ms. McCoy passed away on May 15, 2012. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of John Wright and Clara Rabb Wright. She was previously employed with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Ms. McCoy was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Horan and Mary Horan Tierney; her three brothers, Bob, Paul and Joe Horan.&lt;br&gt;She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert K. Rabb; their five children, Gary (Debbie Born), Dan (Peg Porter), Jim (Paula Weaver), Bill (Lisa Petrosky) and Mary Rabb; her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marilyn is also survived by her two sisters, Patty Horan Gandolph, Eileen Horan Riedman; several nieces and nephews.&lt;br&gt;Marilyn graduated from St. Mary's Academy of Indianapolis, in 1950, and began working in several administration jobs; she finished her career as the secretary at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in 1992.&lt;br&gt;Marilyn was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing golf, working crossword puzzles, reading a good book as well as watching any kind of sports on TV.&lt;br&gt;Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 3pm to 7pm at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St., Zionsville with a Mass of Resurrection beginning at 7 pm. Private burial will be Friday morning at Hutton Cemetery, rural Zionsville.&lt;br&gt;In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the Little Sister of the Poor at St. Augustine's Home for the Aged, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260 and/or to Father Terry Hoppenjans who has been serving the needs of the poor in the Appalachian Mountains for over 55 years. 100% of all contributions go to those who are less fortunate. Born in New York to the late Mario and Theresa Montagino, she enjoyed a career that involved many phases of nursing until her retirement. She was also an active member of the Church of The Holy Family where her volunteer work gave her great satisfaction. Marie also had a passion for cooking and entertaining her family and friends.&lt;br&gt;Marie leaves behind her loving husband of 43 years, Danny, her daughter, Danielle Harrison and husband Jeff, her sister Patti Bartolotta and husband, John, her nephew John, Jr. and Harry and Rita Lustig and their children, Heather and Harry Jr.&lt;br&gt;The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Alberico and his staff at Virginia Beach Oncology for their outstanding care and support through the years.&lt;br&gt;The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday March 14, in Church of the Holy Family in Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home, on Tuesday, February 28th, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery.&lt;br&gt;Born September 21, 1924 in Fairfield County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Grace Dawkins Rabb, Sr. Tootsie was the widow of Schley DeWitt. After his death she married Raymond Galloway, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Galloway was an active member of Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church.&lt;br&gt;Surviving are two sons: Winfield "Wink" (Debbie) DeWitt III of Florence, C. Thomas "Tom" (Dorothy) DeWitt of Hilton Head, a daughter, Betsy D. (David) Forrest of Hampton, SC, grandchildren: Kendall DeWitt, Gregg DeWitt, Erin (Bryan) Miller, Megan DeWitt, John (Crystal) Forrest, Lyn (Scott) Ballard; great-grandchildren Julia Forrest and Grayson Ballard, sisters: Martha Grace Weere of FL, Madge Hutchinson, Barbara Howle both of Darlington, Lou (Chuck) Spear of Columbia, a brother, Sonny ˜Calvin" (Winnie) Rabb of Darlington, and a sister-in-law Susan DeWitt of Darlington. Also, step-children, Ray (Janice) Galloway, Emily (Kem) Lunn, step-grandchildren: Meagan Lunn, Travis Lunn, Les (Kelly) Galloway, Ryan (Dohnia) Galloway; step-great-grandchildren, Logan and Luke Galloway, Dohnia Elizabeth Galloway.&lt;br&gt;She was preceded in death by a son, Jim DeWitt, a daughter-in-law, Donna DeWitt and a brother, Thomas Rabb.The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM at Belk Funeral on Monday, February 27th.       <description>Winston-Salem Journal&lt;br&gt;Winston-Salem, NC&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;December 6, 2011&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Lillian Brewer Rabb&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;WINSTON-SALEM - Lillian Brewer Rabb Oct. 20, 1918 - Dec. 4, 2011 Lillian Brewer Rabb, 93, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 20, 1918 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late Fred Madison Brewer and Etta Estelle Butner Brewer. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Ballenger and her second husband, Robert Rabb. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Grady Brewer, Frank Brewer, Fred Brewer, and Tommy Brewer; sisters, Elizabeth White, Zelmo Reid, Mary Anna Wooten, Ruth Beck, and Fleeta Brewer; sons-in-law, Herbert Poole, Jerry Howell, and Pete Pihos; and daughter-in-law, Lois Ballenger. Mrs. Rabb is survived by her five children, Anthony Ballenger, Donna Pihos-Howell, Bill Ballenger (Kitti), Stan Ballenger (Brenda), and Jack Ballenger; grandchildren, Luke Poole, Wesley Poole (Alexis), Melissa Pihos, Jay Ballenger (Jen), Page Ballenger (Nicole), Jason Ballenger (Jennifer), and Lance McPeak; and great-grandchildren, Daisy Ballenger and Macy McPeak; a brother, Jimmy Brewer (Delma), and several loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rabb was of Moravian heritage (the Butners and Heges of Bethabara), with ancestors arriving in 1755 with the second group (but first group of married couples) to settle Bethabara. She graduated from Clemmons High School, finishing in 11 years after skipping a year. She married and moved to Chapel Hill where she lived for 50 years. She was a homemaker for many years, raising her 5 children. She attended UNC-CH and when her children were older, went to work as manager of the Scientific Store Room which supplied UNC Memorial Hospital and the Physics and Chemistry departments. She worked 35 years, retiring at age 74. She was a member of the University Baptist Church for many years. Upon retiring, she moved to Winston-Salem where she was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the church of her parents. Mrs. Rabb had many interests. She had an extensive library of gardening, nutrition, health, and herbal cures. She loved to garden and for many years grew a summer vegetable garden on a lot she owned in Winston-Salem. She always grew beautiful flowers and was a long-time member of the NC Botanical Gardens. She enjoyed entering and winning cooking contest, among them the Pillsbury Bake-Off where she was a finalist in New York in 1954. She was an avid Tar Heel fan and seldom missed football or basketball games. She was very interested in the political scene and never missed a chance to vote. She and a sister enjoyed traveling to many places and taking many cruises. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Lydia Prysock for her loving assistance to Mrs. Rabb and for her loving concern for the family. We also want to thanks friends and family for the loving support shown to us at this difficult time. Also, we will always remember the compassionate care and support of those who assisted us in the final days and hours at the Hospice Home. Thank you. Mr. Rabb was a lifetime resident of Llano, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Llano American Legion and was an active member of the First Christian Church. John loved fishing, hunting, dancing and he loved life and he lived it to the fullest. Rabb. Survivors are his wife, Delrhonda Rabb; a daughter Natalie Fierek; two sons, Drew Rabb of Napa Valley and Aaron Rabb of Corpus Christi; twos sisters, Jane and Mary; and two granddaughters. For a number of years he worked in the family business, the Rabb Kimetico Water Company. Jim was an ex-marine and very proud of it. He was tough but returned from Vietnam with severe disabilities. In recent years he was plagued with incessant pain that would have incapacitated almost anyone. Patrice was born October 22, 1955, and she was a longtime resident of Brenham and Houston. She is survived by her life partner, Douglas Childs, brothers, Roger Rabb and William "Buddy" J. Rabb, nephews, Judd and Terrell, and niece, Amy. Patrice is predeceased by her mother and father, Catherine Hagewood and William Rabb.&lt;br&gt;Patrice attended Texas A&amp;amp;M and received her Masters degree in History from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Her first job was at the Lighthouse of Houston, and she later owned and operated Antique Plating Company for ten years. She worked at the Carlton House in River Oaks from 1996 until 2010 where she earned the respect and friendship of her co-workers.&lt;br&gt;Patrice enjoyed traveling and spent time in Europe on University of St. Thomas study aboard trips working on History and other studies. Her interest in history and literature led to her membership in the Ladies Reading Club and Altrusa International Club of Houston, and she authored several articles on the contributions of women in the formation of our state.&lt;br&gt;In accordance with her wishes, there will be a private service for family at the Chapel of St. Basil. They were married November 16, 1940 and moved to Emerson, AR, where they reared their two daughters and later to Millerton, LA. At the age of 40, Anna Rhea earned her LPN license and practiced nursing at Homer Memorial Hospital and Heritage Manor Nursing Home. On February 2, 1998, Don Ivan passed away and Anna Rhea moved to Haynesville to be closer to her daughters. She was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, cooking and canning, but she mostly loved being a grandmother. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, August 12, 2011, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Lafayette from 10:00am until the time of service.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mr. Hamilton was born in Alexandria, LA, and resided in Lafayette and Shreveport, LA. Before moving back to Lafayette, he honored the Lord as an Ordained Deacon at Grawood Baptist Church, in Shreveport, LA, then was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette. He served our country for 8 years in the US Air Force as a Tech Sergeant in the 6927th Security Squadron, stationed at Okinowa, Philippines, Vietnam, and San Antonio. Ken Hamilton worked for over 20 years in the oil field industry as a Mud Engineer at NL Baroid, and a Drilling Foreman for Sun Oil. His second career was an educator for Comeaux and Acadiana High. His passions included writing poetry, golf, and chess, swinging on his porch swing and reading his well worn bible, but most of all he loved playing with his five grandchildren and writing them love filled letters with his thoughts and advice for their young lives. Ken Hamilton lived his life by his favorite verse: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 47 yrs, Kathy Ducharme Hamilton of Lafayette; one son, Dwayne Scott Hamilton and his wife Gloria of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Debbie Hamilton Henry of Shreveport/Bossier; his precious grandchildren, Donovan Patrick Henry, Joshua Walker Henry, Katherine Marie Hamilton, Emily Grace Henry, and Abigail Rose Hamilton; one brother, Ronald George Hamilton of Lafayette; sister-in-law, Trudie Lavergne Hamilton of Mesquite, Texas, and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. Hamilton and Sybil Rabb Hamilton, and one brother, Jack E. Willard Moore and Rev. Jerry West. Interment will follow at New Ramah Cemetery in Millerton, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA on Thursday from 5:00 til 8:00 p.m.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Anna Rhea was born December 3, 1921 in Melbourne, AR to Joseph Edward Lawrence and Bessie Jane Cooper Lawrence. She was reared in Harrison, AR where she met Don Ivan Rabb while he was at boot camp. They were married November 16, 1940 and moved to Emerson, AR, where they reared their two daughters and later to Millerton, LA. At the age of 40, Anna Rhea earned her LPN license and practiced nursing at Homer Memorial Hospital and Heritage Manor Nursing Home. On February 2, 1998, Don Ivan passed away and Anna Rhea moved to Haynesville to be closer to her daughters. She was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, cooking and canning, but she mostly loved being a grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, collecting bird figurines and watching birds in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Liston Anthony (L.J.)       <description>Express-News&lt;br&gt;San Antonio, TX&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;May 15, 2011&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Betty Rabb Pridgen, the daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. William Edward Rabb, of Atlanta, TX, and the wife of Dr. James Edward Pridgen, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at her home. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, and received her Music degree at the University of Texas in Austin, where she taught voice. She then attended Juilliard School of Music in New York. The following year, she had her own radio program on KWKH in Shreveport, LA. During WWII, she sang for many USO shows. When her husband, Dr. Pridgen, was in his surgical residency at Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota, she was one of the soloists for the Rochester Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Methodist church, and the Rochester Music Society. After they moved to San Antonio in 1951, she was a member and soloist at the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. She was a member of the San Antonio Junior League, Methodist Church Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the Blue Bird Auxiliary of the Methodist Hospital, member of the Tuesday Musical Club, The Battle of Flowers Association, The Argyle Club and The San Antonio Country Club. She sang for many charity and service organizations. She recorded many songs during her musical career. Her family retains recordings of her music and treasures reliving her lifetime love of music. To live in the hearts of others is never to die. She was a loving wife and mother and will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Gay and husband, Steve Swanson; Carol Lee and husband, Gerry Storey; and son, James E. Pridgen, II; six grandchildren: Kelly and Bethany Gray; Clint and Clair Storey, Erin Pridgen and husband, Erik Phelps; Jennifer Pridgen. She is also survived by her sister; Marilee Rabb Chapman and husband, Dean; nieces, Dawn Chapman Herwood and husband, Gary; Dr. Suzanne Chapman Reams and husband, Joel. Newton, 72, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in her home surrounded by family.&lt;br&gt;Dianna was born October 25, 1938 in El Centro. She graduated from Imperial High School in 1955 and furthered studies at IVC and San Diego State University. Dianna worked for the Imperial County Municipal Court system as deputy Chief Court Administrator. After retirement she was an elected Board Member to the Elementary School District for 17 years. She also represented the School Board of Trustees as Assembly Delegate to the California School Board Association. With a passion to help in the community she volunteered her efforts to many causes to include Pioneers Museum of Imperial County as Board Member and Curator of the African American Gallery, Advisory Committee Member with the State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at Centinela State Prison, as well as Advisory Committee Member with the El Centro Police Department. Her proudest achievement was serving as 3 term President of the El Centro Community Senior Club. For many years she also served as Executive Secretary to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Albert Newton Jr., of Mesa Development Center, Las Cruces, N.M., a family owned water company. Dianna was an active and faithful member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church for 52 years fulfilling her Christian duties in many areas of the church. "Nani," as she was affectionately called by her family, enjoyed working cross word puzzles, family gatherings, and played a mean game of Spades and Domino's, and was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers.&lt;br&gt;She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Estella Rabb; stepfather, Prentiss Rabb Sr.; sister, Dolores Rabb; and brother, Prentiss Rabb Jr.&lt;br&gt;Dianna is survived by and leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 52 years, Albert W. Newton Jr. of El Centro; daughters, Natalia R. Newton of San Diego, CA., Sonya D. Newton of El Centro; son, Albert W. Newton III of El Centro; father, Emanuel Osborne of El Centro; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous additional family and friends.&lt;br&gt;Visitation will be held Monday, May 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro. Mrs. Knopf was a 1977 graduate of Union High School, attended the University of South Carolina and received her BFA degree in Studio Art from Converse College in 2000.       <description>Lake City Reporter&lt;br&gt;Lake City, FL&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;February 17, 2011&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Dorothy Suber Goree&lt;br&gt;  |   Visit Guest Book&lt;br&gt;Photo&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Dorothy Suber Goree, 95, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Avalon Health &amp;amp; Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness. Born in South Carolina to the late John and Sara Rabb Suber, she spent a number of years in Jacksonville before moving to Lake City in 1997. She was very artistic, having interest in basket weaving, crocheting, and pottery making. Dorothy was also an accomplished seamstress and bridge player. She enjoyed raising flowers, as well as fruits and vegetables. Her kind, generous spirit brought much laughter and happiness to family and friends. She was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, from 1951-1997, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Lake City and a member of the Charity Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Goree in 1997.&lt;br&gt;Survivors include her daughter, Joan (George) Ward of Lake City, FL., and her grand-children Chris Ward of Jacksonville, FL., Jeffrey Ward of Lake City, FL., and Stephen Ward of Jacksonville, FL.&lt;br&gt;Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert K. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time. (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.). (Kenneth) McKenzie, Tiffiny Q. Bruster and Minister Q. Jermaine (Marcianna) Bruster.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Marietta, S.C. with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Travelers Rest, S.C.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, February 8, 2011, from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Marietta, S.C.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The family is at 214 Pilgrim Court, Marietta, SC. Survived by her loving daughter, Laura and devoted son-in-law, Solomon Irving; four grandchildren, Deborah (Richard) Madden, Sol, Sheila, and La Von Kennedy; seven great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandsons.       <description>The Daily Journal&lt;br&gt;Cumberland County, NJ&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;January 20, 2011&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;JAMES ALBERT "JIM/JIMMY" WYNDER Jr.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;James "Jim/Jimmy" Albert Wynder Jr., 45, of Buena and formerly of Norma, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, after a sudden illness.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Jim was born and raised in Bridgeton, and was a long-time resident of Norma prior to moving to Vineland and then Buena. He was one of the five children to the late Beatrice (Rabb) Wynder and James Albert Wynder Sr. He was employed by Foundry Service Corp. in Vineland, doing what he loved most -- driving tractor-trailers. He loved riding his motorcycle and working on cars. He enjoyed going to Atco with his grandson and family. Jim loved to joke around and have fun. He also enjoyed spending his weekends with his daughters and grandkids.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He will truly be missed by his daughters, Angelica and Natasha Wynder; his grandkids, NyZier Wynder and Nevaeh Robinson; his longtime companion, friend and mother to his children, Loretta Swinton; his brothers, Benjamin Wynder Sr. (Callie) and John "Poppy" Edward Wynder; his sister, Anna Mcrae (Robert); many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and many longtime friends.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was predeceased by his sister, Robin (Wynder) Hannah; and two brothers, Caldwell and Tommy Williams.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, Gershal Ave., Norma. Interment will be at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Township.
