Domingo Ramos, 106, of Spain died in FL in 1923

from Florida Times Union obit of Thursday 31 January 1923: Tampa, Jan 31- (AP) Domingo Ramos, whose birth cert. indicated he was 106, died in a Tampa hospital today. He came from Spain to Tampa nearly twenty years ago. In recent years he had lost all trace of members of his family and declared he had no living relatives.
From his death cert: his father was Domingo Ramos of Spain and his mother was Maria Pretta. He was a fisherman.

I really do not know the story how Grandparents split up but I believe ,I do not know much about my GrandFather Pablo Ramos I never met him but I was told by family members that he was from Aguas Calientes mexico and his discription from my mother when she was alive was he was tall white complexion and had green hazel eyes. since I do not know him or his whereabouts who knows it might be your Granfather too. some talk was we are part Filipino but dont know which side of family either. My father was Pablo Cardenas Castaneda.

Hello!

I don't have much information on our family ancestry, however I have recently learned that my grandfather Don Miguel Ramos lived in Galicia Spain near Santiago de Compostela where he married my grandmother (surname de Castro). I believe there was also some connection to Girona but I do not know the details.

My grandfather moved to New York back in the late 30s. He had four children - three of which are living. They reside in Southern California and Dallas Texas.

The 5 brothers and 3 sisters were my dad's cousins. Baltazar Sr was my grandfather's brother. My great uncle. I only know tio Servando (Tato) - he has done a great deal of research into our family ancestry - back to Mexico.

(my mother)-Ramona(aug 15,1940-1998),Rosalva (Feb 19,1943-1973) Both born in Tecuala Nayarit Mexico. he split- Mother descibed him being tall thin and green eyes.also knew he remarried and had other children. Baltazar Ramos and Eliza Garza also had a daughter, San Juanita Ramos. Baltazar Ramos, had 5 brothers, Adan, Servando, Candelario, Miguel and Samuel Ramos; 3 sisters, Carmen, Eva and Amanda Ramos. I am a neice of Baltazar Ramos, my mother is Amanda Ramos.

lead I have to date that I have been able to get from my
87 yr old mother. Blas was my dad father and his wife my
mother can only remember either a brother or father by the
name Francisco. Blas raised my father Domingo Ramos by himself after his divorce from grandmother Profidia Escotto
Ramos.Blas died in Laredo Texas around 1960. There was a
Guatamalan Army General named Fransico Ramos don't know if

Unknown date of seperation, or just abandoned by him, it was known he re-married and had other children.

one of his daughtersfrom the other woman had contact with my mother a while back, just remember the name Dahlia. my mother aunt and grandmother Died so only family connection on mothers side is Pablo Ramos and his Family. I believe they still live in Tecuala or tepic.I never met my grandfather.

They come from the Ramos Colon family, from Cristobal Colon, most probably. Vicente Ramos Colon founded Rosario and his Uncle Andres was my Great Grandfather x 5.

Hello Jan--I also am looking for Ramoses in the Lowell and Dracut Massachusetts area. My father was born in about 1950 and was one of a large family, like 4-5 brothers and a sister. I think his mom's name was Cecile and she was married to another man before she married Mr. Ramos. Given the timeline, I am wondering if this Anthony could have been my grandfather's uncle or big brother. I dont know any names, but my guess is that there couldn't have been too many different Ramos families in that area during that time period. Any information you may have would be great! Her father, Jesus Ramos, divorced her mother, Carmen Aguirre, and was not allowed contact with his daughter. I am looking for any info on my biological mother. I know her name is Petra Lopez Ramos. She would work in the fields in El Paso. She gave birth to me a baby girl in Carrizal, Chihuahua Mexico on September 6,1976. I know she was very malnurished and had to have some blood transfusions during the pregnacy. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Based on a quick search of the first names you provided, it appears your country of origin should be Puerto Rico, not Mexico. Each country seems to have specific first names that they used.

I am not sure, but strong guess is - Mexico, and what generation I don't know. I am at a loss. His wife and family lived for a time in the Seguin area and in Wilson County. I don't know whether the family moved to San Antonio before or after he passed away. According to the census I believe he passed away sometime between 1905 - 1910.

Jose Ramos is my great-grandfather also. My grandfather is Pablo Ramos. I found a border crossing for Ignacio Alonso Ramos and his WWI enlistment paper. He was born in 1877 and died 1964. Jose was born 1900 and died 1965. I went to George's funeral a few years back..

I need help finding my father-Info given

My mother's name is Eva- maiden name (logue) married name (Ramos) ssn#459-40-6375 She passed Christmas morning 3 years ago. Her birth date is July 6th 1929. As much I know of my father is he left our family when I was 7. I'm 40 now. I knew of his name to be jimmy Santiago Ramos but found out through texas marriage search engine they have him listed as a Santiago A Ramos. I will be going to Texas with my family to visit my children there and was hoping to be able to locate him while I visit my mother. I have other information that might be helpful. I have no ssn number for him. They have him listed as a birth date as 1923. But I have some doubts about it. Thank you so much for any information I can get Steven Ramos
