Thomas and Elizabeth Randell Family of Clerkenwell, Middlesex

Thomas Randell of this family died October 19, 1865 in Islington. His daughter Mary was the informant. I can not find his wife Elizabeth, and his children Emily, Henry, Ann, Elizabeth and Caroline after the 1861 census. Henry was born in 1862 and I have his birth and baptism information. Did they move overseas or to Ireland or Scotland? Maybe some die at the time that their father died but surely not all. Any information will be help full. I can supply birth and/or baptism dates if that would be helpful.

Lucinda Randal, Washington Co., NY (1800-1823)

Seeking info on Jonathan (John) Randel (Randal, Randall) and his wife Catalina (Caroline, Caty, Cataline) Cole. I have found several references to them as the parents of the following children:
Annatje	b. 9 Apr 1801 and baptized 7 May 1801
Lucy Randel b. 21 Feb 1803 and baptized 20 Jul 1806
Lucia b. 27 Dec 1807 and baptized 30 Oct 1808
Mymy b. 12 May 1812 and baptized 2 Aug 1812

My primary interest is in Lucy & Lucia as I have a Lucinda Randal in my tree for who I do not have parents listed. These baptisms took place at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Berne (Albany County) NY. Randal is spelled Randel & Randol through out the record. My Lucinda Randal was from Washington County NY and died young as a result of child birth (22 Mar 1823) of her daughter Lucinda Randal Prouty b. 16 Mar 1823. The father/husband was Allen Prouty born bef 25 Feb 1798 (he was baptized this date at the Presbyterian Church in Cambridge Washington Co., NY). At some point after Lucinda’s (the mother) death he moved to Oswego County. Coincidentally, I find John & Catalina Randal on the 1850 census in the City of Oswego, ages 69 & 67 respectively. Are these my Lucinda’s parents? Any light shed on this would be very helpful. Thanks
Samuel RANDELL Born About 1863

I am seeking any descendants or info on Samuel RANDELL who was born in either Iowa or Nebraska around 1863. My Great Grand Father Samuel RANDELL married Margaret Ellen Shoup and had one daughter, Anna May born 31 Jul 1890. According to the Ancestry Database I see a 1880 Census where he is 16 and living in St. Libory, NE in Howard County. He had 3 brothers, Daniel, Lafayette & Grant. He either died or got divorced between 1892-1908 cause his wife re-married according to the 1910 Census. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Thank you for the info. I had a few last names for Rebecca Ella. My grandmother Hattie Sylvania's daughter always said her grandmother's name was Flusky however, on one of her childrens death certificates it's listed as Clusky and then 2 other people said it was Edwards or Ingram. I still haven't had much lucky in finding out info on Rebecca. I thought that Sylvania father might be named William Thomas Randell since I found a 1880 census that seems to have them on it. Still no marriage date. But at least I have a death date now. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. Do you have an information on Thomas Randell (b ?1824 d. October 19, 1865) who married Elizabeth Day about 1845. I do not have parents or siblings for this person. Also I have a problem with Elizabeth's maiden name; is it Day or Underwood? I have children names as Elizabeth, Julia, Mary, Emily, Ann and Thomas. Do you have the same?
I am decended from Mary Randell who married Alfred Cousins Windsor on September 14, 1868. Are you decended from one of the other siblings?
Regards, Brian

They were both from the Durham/Northumberland area, with Thomas' mother and father coming from Norfolk, and Elizabeth's grandmother coming from Scotland. I don't know if this in any way relates to your research, but the two surnames together made me wonder.
Leigh

I'm sure this is one and the same person, as when you type in both names, the site says both were married to the same woman - Tuhituhi Tirua.

If you have any more information, I would really love to know as I have just started searching my whakapapa/family tree.

Thanks for your contribution...it's really fascinating to see what happened in the past.

Thanks,

Anna
kiwiwelsh@yahoo.co.nz
